Seabird Watching on the North Wildwood Seawall
We love going down to the beach house a few times every year. While many areas on the eastern seaboard have beautiful coastal communities, our favorite place to go is North Wildwood in New Jersey. Out of all three of the Wildwoods, we love North Wildwood the best.
Beside loving the beach and the Atlantic Ocean…we love to sit and do some bird watching, especially seabird watching! We love watching the herons, egrets, cranes, seagulls, etc. all play in the water. Okay, besides playing, we enjoy watching them hunt for their food.
I find it extremely relaxing to sit on a bench or on the beach and watch these birds for hours! The only time I don’t enjoy it is when I have food in my hands and they come dive bombing to get it. Yes, folks, the seagulls will dive bomb you to steal your food!
We took these photos while sitting up on the North Wildwood Seawall in New Jersey. It’s one of the prettiest places to be on the entire island and I think you get to see the best variety of seabirds too! The prettiest views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Rocks, the Beach and of course the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse are all right here!
Well, there you have it! My “Almost” Wordless Wednesday and Travel Post all wrapped up into one blog post. Do any of you enjoy birdwatching? Watching the seabirds?
