We may be saying goodbye to the summer, but that doesn’t mean you can’t continue to rock a bronzed summer glow. Million Dollar Tan has the perfect sunless tanning products to keep a gorgeous tan all year round.
I’m typically not a tan person. I’m very fair skinned and I’ve had some issues in the past with skin cancer, so I don’t mess around with the sun. For me, a product like this is a great way for me to feel like I’ve spent time at the beach sunning, while I’m actually under my giant umbrella with a good book. I’m not a big fan of sunburns, wrinkles and sunspots, so Million Dollar Tan products are ideal for me! The same was true of the company’s founder, Lindsay Dickhout, who felt that a nice tan was essential, but not worth the harmful effects of the sun. Lindsay set out out to create a tanning solution that was better than everything the market.
Today I’d like to introduce you to three products of these superior products from Million Dollar Tan–Mermaid Mousse Extreme dark sunless tanning mousse, Mermaid Mousse Extreme for Face and All That Shimmers Dry Oil Shimmer. Let me tell you a little about each of the products:
Mermaid Mousse Extreme is a more intense version of the company’s very popular whipped tanning mousse. It is ultra-light and effortless to apply, but gives darker skin tones or anyone wishing to be ultra-bronzed, an extra dark tan. What’s cool about this product (like all of the Million Dollar Tan products) is that this mousse provides a gradual, buildable color that always looks natural. It’s also packed with vitamins and hydrating moisturizers for enviably smooth, soft skin.
The issues I’ve had with sunless tanners in the past is that they look streaky and uneven. This product has the option of purchasing a Blend Friend Body Mitt to apply the Mermaid Mousse Extreme into skin. The instant bronze color will guide you while applying, letting you see exactly where you need more mousse. The 6-ounce Mermaid Mousse Extreme is available for $42 and the optional Large Blend Friend Mitt is available at a special price of $8.
Mermaid Mousse Extreme Face also offers that deeper, richer tan for those who prefer to have that ultra-tan glow. This product also has the added benefit of the revolutionary new FaceFirmTM Age Defense Super Pack, clinically proven to dramatically lift, firm and tone skin. It’s a light formula that won’t clog pores and is effortless to apply. While you don’t have to use the Blend Friend Face Mitt (you can use your hands), I used the mitt as it easier to get that perfect blending action. The four-ounce bottle of Mermaid Mousse Extreme Face is available for $32.
What I really like about both of these products is that they aren’t sticky or messy and don’t have a weird smell (as many other tanners have). You simply let the color develop for 6-8 hours before showering, and you’ll have a rich tan that lasts for 7-10 days. It’s so smooth and easy to apply and is hands down the best self tanner I’ve used.
All That Shimmers is a luxuriously light body oil that adds an extra bit of shimmer and bronze to your sunless tan. You can also use it on its own for just a touch of color. This product contains hydrating botanicals that smooth your skin. Even dull, dry skin becomes instantly refreshed and radiant. It’s shimmery, but not glittery, so it’s a fun and easy way to accessorize your favorite outfit for a night out on the town. The oil only needs about five minutes to dry, so you’ll be ready to go and glow in no time at all. It is available in a four-ounce bottle and costs $32.

To me a tan is not a pretty thing. I’m fair and like to keep it that way.
I remember using Q-T self tanner in the 70s and it was tricky to get it even and it sometimes streaked. Now I always wear sunscreen unless I’m getting a bit of sun for vitamin D, and always wear it on my face, with a hat. I even wear a scarf when driving so my neck doesn’t get sun. I also have special gloves to wear if I’m driving in the sun for hours. I’d try a self tanner now for special occasions, especially on my legs.
I am fair skinned and used to get a tan, but now avoid the harmful effects of the sun. I might try to use these products for special occasions.
I am fair skinned and years ago before the whole sun thing was bad I was one who tanned. It was popular to use crisco (yes crisco) and literally fry. It was a mess. Luckily I havent suffered from it but had some wicked burns. I have tried some tanners but always come out orange. Maybe for a special occasion I would try this as it is rather pricey. I do like how it will tone and firm though.
I used to be a big tanner but not so much anymore. I have a few spots on my arm that I need to get checked out. I would love to try this product to even out my farmer’s tan that I have from driving.
