Monthly Home Delivery of ButcherBox Meats
ButcherBox is more than a monthly box of beef. It’s a step towards a revolution in American farming. It’s a way for you and your family to enjoy exceptional quality meat that’s flavorful, good for your body and delivered to your front door.
The company makes grass-fed beef accessible to everyone in the country. Most of the beef you find on your supermarket shelves is NOT coming from grass-fed cattle. The company uses only the best meat in their boxes.
ButcherBox is a monthly subscription service where you can sign up to receive this high-quality meat delivered to your front door or the door of a loved one. Each box of curated cuts of meat contain 100% grass-fed beef and along with your meats you’ll get a selection of recipe cards, featuring simple recipes from their favorite food bloggers & chefs. You can choose from grass-fed beef, organic chicken and/or heritage breed pork.
To introduce you to this service I received a complimentary box from ButcherBox. Inside my cooler was the following:
2 Butcher Box Ground Beef Bricks
Bone-in Pork Rib Chop
Beef Sirloin Tips
4-6 oz. Top Sirloin
Company Logo Tote
Thin Slice Beef
Bacon
Welcome Card
Sirloin Tips Recipe Card
These monthly meat subscription boxes cost $129 a month and include 7-10 lbs. of meat. Shipping is free and you can cancel at any time! If you’re wondering how many meals 7-10 lbs. of meat will make…it will make at least 20 individual meals at the recommended 5-8 oz. portion size. Since it’s just my husband and I, that’s at least 10 nice meals for us every month!
There are 4 different boxes for you to choose from every month and each one is the same price. You can choose an All Beef, Mixed Box, Beef/Pork Box or a Beef/Chicken box. Frankly, I would mix it up month to month so that I would be getting a variety of meats to try. You can then choose to have your box delivered monthly, once every 2 months or once every 3 months. If you have a larger family, you can do add-ons of the products that you wish to have extra of. For example, we eat a lot of ground beef, so I would most likely add on extra packages of that.
Now that I’ve given you some information about ButcherBox the company and their products, let me tell you a little bit about what we thought of them. I first want to state that we haven’t tried ALL of the items sent to us, but I will tell you which ones we have tried so far.
The bacon. Oh my gosh…Seriously, this is the BEST bacon we’ve ever had! I’m not kidding you! Our local supermarket & butcher can’t even come close to the ButcherBox bacon! It fries up so nicely and smells so good! It has a nice crunchy texture to it and is flavorful beyond belief! We used 1/2 of our pack of bacon to make BLT sandwiches one day and the following day we finished off that bacon with our breakfast. Delicious!
The next product we tried was a pack of their ground beef. I really love that the ground beef is shrink-wrapped in 1 lb. packages since most recipes call for ground beef by the pound and a pound pack is the perfect size for serving 4 people. At least in my home! We were hungry for some good old-fashioned pan-fried hamburgers, so that’s what we made with one pack of our ground beef from ButcherBox. As they were simmering away, we enjoyed the mouth-watering aroma coming from our kitchen.
It only took a few minutes to fry them up and oh my gosh…these are the type of flavorful hamburgers you get at those nice restaurants when you go out for dinner. They are NOT that cheapo ground beef/burger junk you find at fast food joints or even at your local grocery store. You can tell when you eat them that they were made with quality ground beef! Yup, there is a difference!
For over 20 years my husband has been making this recipe that he calls sirloin tips in mushroom gravy, so as soon as he saw that box of sirloin tips in our package, he knew immediately what he was going to make. One of the things he LOVES about their sirloin tips is that they’re cut thick and chunky, the way it’s supposed to be and there was NO fat. It was perfectly trimmed meat. He likes to serve this over white rice with creamed sugar peas on the side. He uses the same recipe every time he makes this and guess what? This time it was better than ever…because of the quality meat that was used! Delicious!!!
In a few weeks I’ll be sharing another post with all of you on what we thought of the rest of the meats that we received, so be on the lookout for that post in the near future. In the meantime, I would like to invite you to visit ButcherBox online to learn more about the company and their products.
