5 Great Ideas for Organizing Your Cleaning Closet

5 Great Ideas for Organizing Your Cleaning ClosetOver the past few years, I’ve confessed on this blog many times that I’m a neat & clean freak. Matter of fact, you’ll find an entire section here on the blog that is dedicated to cleaning tips and cleaning product reviews. In my opinion, keeping a clean and organized home helps to save time and it definitely helps to cut down on the spread of germs.

When it comes to organizing your cleaning closet for the first time, you need to take everything out of it…give it a good cleaning and then start organizing it. You always want to make sure you toss out the old & expired products and if you need plastic bins and other items to organize things on a shelf…hit up the Dollar Store for those items. In addition, if you have small children & pets in the house…invest in some type of lock for the door, which will keep everyone safe!

I love to shop on Amazon and today, I thought I would share some of my favorite items to help get your cleaning closet organized. Please read my disclosure located at the bottom of this blog post.

broom and mop organizer

1. SySrion Mop and Broom Holder is an item that I personally own! I got this item for review recently and absolutely LOVE it! You can hang it on a wall or on the back of a door. It will hold up to 11 cleaning tools, including mops, brooms, dust pans, duster wands, etc. You can hang up your items via the hooks and slide the handles of your brooms & mops into the slots for easy access. This keeps all of your items organized and stored in one place! Plus, if you use a mop…by hanging it up to dry, it will dry quicker and without any nasty smells! It’s currently out of stock but if it comes back in…I’ll update this post with the link.

2. Pro-Mart DAZZ Rubberized Pop-Up Caddy is a great caddy to fill up with all of your cleaning supplies and take it room-to-room with you as you clean. It has 7 compartments to hold your cleaning solution bottles, dusting cloths, paper towels, etc. Gotta love that easy carrying handle too. You can collapse it flat for storage or let all of your products sit inside it and on a shelf for when you need them.

3. mDesign AFFIXX, Peel-and-Stick Adhesive Organizer for Laundry & Utility Room is a great little item for those of you who are limited on space. I love that it’s made out of clear acrylic and you can easily see your items sitting inside it, plus…you don’t have to drill any holes or slam any nails into your walls or the back of your door to use it. Just peel & stick! A great item to hold your smaller cleaning bottles, sponges, SOS pads, scrubbies, lint rollers, etc.

4. Slim Storage Cabinet Organizer Rolling Pull Out Cart Rack Tower with Wheels features 3 shelves and is designed to fit in narrow spaces. I have one just like this that sits in my cleaning closet. I can wheel it out when I need to and I can quickly see the product that I want and get on my way. You can also slide it in between a narrow space like between 2 cabinets in your kitchen or between your washer & dryer in the laundry room. Matter of fact, that’s a great idea, so now I need a second one for my laundry room!

5. Pro-Mart DAZZ 42-Pocket Over-the-Door Organizer is absolutely fantastic for those of you who are really limited on space. It can go over any closet door in your home. This organizer features 42 spacious double mesh pockets and would be a great item to hold your cleaning products, dusting polishes, extra clean sponges, scrubbies, dusting cloths, extra dusting heads, etc. You know, all of those medium to smaller sized products that you need to get organized, but yet keep them handy!

broom and mop organizer for cleaning closet

I personally own the exact item mentioned in tip #1 and you can see a photo of it hanging inside my cleaning closet. I got it for a review a few weeks ago and absolutely LOVE IT! Matter of fact, hubby wants another one so that he can hang it in the garage to hang up his rakes, snow shovels & other yard work tools.

While I don’t own the EXACT other items I’ve mentioned in this feature today, I do own similar products to the ones that I’m suggesting to help get your cleaning closets organized. What products do you use to help get things organized and cleaned up? Got an favorites?

Thank you for sharing your 5 tips awesome Ideas. I too have a small Laundry room. I have a Stackable washer & Dryer in one end. A plastic shelving unit squeezed between stacked washer and dryer where I keep all my Laundry soap, Detergent etc. On the side wall I Have a hanging racket much like the one shown where I hang my Brooms and Mops etc. To fold my clothes I go right around the corner of the utility room and use my Kitchen Table. I would like to get a caddy though to hold all my supplies as I go from room to room. That tip I can really use. I may order the one from Amazon. Looks awesome and being rubberized is Great.
