Like most big cities, Philadelphia has it’s share of tall skyscrapers, big bridges, billboard advertisements, parks, museums, tall apartment buildings, sporting complexes and of course crowded streets full of people, cars, trucks and buses!
Several times every year we go down to Philadelphia to see or do something. Not only that, any time we travel south and are taking a road trip, 8 out of 10 chances we drive through Philly to get there.
It’s a city that never sleeps and is a lot like New York City, there is always something going on, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Often times if you want to get around the inner city areas…it’s best to walk, bike or take a taxi. Driving and parking can be a real nightmare unless you know where you’re going.
On a recent trip down to Philly, I was able to snap this photograph of the Philadelphia skyline. I love seeing the skyline’s of the big metro cities, especially the ones up and down the east coast.
The two very tall skyscrapers on the right in the photo (in silver with tons of glass windows and pointed tops) are the same skyscrapers you see in the opening of the TV show “Cold Case” which is now only on television in re-run format. These same buildings are also shown in many other TV shows too! They are 2 of your tallest buildings in the city.
Well, there you have it! My #travel photo for this week. If you’ve ever driven through Philly or visited, I’m sure you saw this same skyline while you are there. Do any of you enjoy viewing the bigger city skylines?
I like the Philadelphia skyline. What I like more is that although Philadelphia is a big city with a lot going on it is easier to move around and find things there than in NYC.
Haven’t been to Philadelphia to see the skyline. Very nice picture. The pointy one looks like one in New York City.
