For you, dear readers of The Classy Chics, I’ve done some things over the last couple of weeks that I generally don’t discuss in public, such as sniffing my armpits and checking them for wetness. My goal was to be able to honestly share my complete experience with Pure Pitz Natural Deodorant, so I didn’t hold back. In the interest of full disclosure, I will tell you that it’s been hot and humid, and I certainly put the Pure Pitz to the test.
Deodorants and antiperspirants aren’t things I’ve ever given a lot of thought to. I usually buy invisible solid antiperspirants with little to no fragrance, and I’m not picky about brands. Using a deodorant rather than an antiperspirant was new to me, but after reading on the Pure Pitz website that perspiring is a good thing since it’s the body’s way of cooling itself, I found myself kind of enjoying a healthy sweat. Despite the hot weather, it was a nice surprise to find that even though I was perspiring, I didn’t smell sweaty or have B.O. with Pure Pitz. However, the fragrance of the Pure Pitz is a bit strong (although not unpleasant), particularly within the first few hours after application, and it probably would have been a conflict if I wore perfume.
Let’s talk about the ingredients panel and labeling for a moment. My previous antiperspirant has warnings to keep it out of the reach of children, to get medical help if it’s swallowed, and to check with a doctor before using it if you have kidney disease—yikes! No such worries with Pure Pitz, as even the container is BPA-free. Pure Pitz is made in the U.S.A. of certified organic ingredients, including aluminum-free baking soda, beeswax, coconut and jojoba oils, cocoa and shea butters, and essential oils. I can attest that its natural preservatives do the job, because it was still solid and hadn’t melted after several hours in my rural mailbox on the very hot and sunny day it was delivered.
Pure Pitz is super concentrated, so a little goes a long way; 1 to 3 swipes under each arm is the recommended amount for a whole day’s protection. This also means that the container is small enough to easily tuck in a gym bag or travel case. I’ve only been using it for a couple of weeks, but one container is supposed to last for 4 to 5 months for shaved armpits.
It’s a lot more expensive than the antiperspirant products I’ve been using, but I do like the idea of a concentrated, all-natural, animal-cruelty-free deodorant. Although I’d reach for my lightly scented antiperspirant before a wedding or some other event where I wouldn’t want to sweat in my fancy-schmancy clothes, I find that Pure Pitz works well for me for everyday use, whether I’m hanging around the house, walking the dog, or running errands.
It’s available directly at PurePitz.com or at Amazon at Pure Pitz 100% Organic & purely natural deodorant and comes in a single unit or a three-pack.

I really like all products that are organic or made from all natural ingredients. However I wouldn’t want a deodorant that wouldn’t keep me dry! Especially if I was anywhere besides in my own home! Lol! I would truly be embarrassed with wet underarms ..Maybe they could work on a all Natural ingredient antiperspirant That would be so awesome!!
Sure could use a concentrated effective deodorant this week with the heat. I agree that it is worth it to use products that are cruelty free and natural for our bodies even if the cost is more.
I like that this natural deodorant is concentrated and works well, but I don’t like the high price. I find that it is hard to believe that it lasts 4 months.
I use Tom’s of Maine deodorant and have been pleased with it. I’d be willing to give this a try. I don’t sweat very much.
I would really like to try this product out. I am very interested in all natural deodorants as I have a history of breast cancer in my family and I try to be extra careful.
