Learn to Make Ice Cream the Old-Fashioned Way
I admit, my family loves ice cream! We have at least two containers of ice cream in our freezer at all times. Personally, I love chocolate ice cream with peanut butter swirls. My husband isn’t picky about ice cream and will eat anything I put in front of him. My granddaughter is picky and prefers the typical kiddie flavors of cotton candy, mint chocolate chip, strawberry, etc. What kind of ice cream do you like?

My Thoughts: As I previously stated, we love ice cream, especially a homemade one! I have owned many ice cream makers over the past 20 years and current I have one that I got last year that is getting a real workout thanks to the recipes in this book. If you’re looking for the best chocolate ice cream recipe (EVER) you’ll find that on page 22 in the book. Oh my gosh, so easy to make and it tastes out of this world delicious!!!
So far, my husband’s favorite is the Butter Pecan Ice Cream that is featured on page 114 in the book. Every time we go to an ice cream shoppe, he always orders Butter Pecan and after we made this homemade version, well…it’s his new favorite!
We’ve made several recipes from this book so far and have enjoyed them all. If you’re looking for something fun, try serving your frozen treats in fun bowls, mugs, cones, on top of waffles, etc. Live a little bit people!
On page 257 you’ll find a recipe for homemade Banana Caramel Sauce and that’s up on my list to try next. Yup, I’ve got the ingredients on my grocery store list and I can’t wait to try it!
