During the bad weather days, I struggle to keep my 7 year old granddaughter and 9 year old god son busy with fun activities to do. Don’t get me wrong, I plan plenty of craft and movie dates with them, but there are times that they want something else fun to do.
Recently we were introduced to Kiddy Connects Advanced by Edushape which is a colorful & pliable linking shapes building set. Basically, it’s an innovative construction set with advanced shapes & angles.
The set helps to fine-tune their motor skills, helps with socialization (when used with more than one child), helps to improve their logic & reasoning, helps with hand-to-eye coordination and improves their visual sensory development.
This more challenging version of Kiddy Connects utilizes additional shapes to develop greater reasoning and logic, via shapes that go beyond the 90 degree limit of standard Kiddy Connects. The set comes with 50 pieces, a little booklet with some building ideas and includes an easy clean up jar for storage.
Last week the kids were over for their weekly play date with us and a thunderstorm rolled in. They both needed something to do and then I remembered I had this building set to review. As soon as I got it out, the two of them were excited to get started with it. One of the really cool things is that both boys & girls can play together with it.
All of the pieces are brightly colored and come in unique shapes, unlike other building sets out in the retail marketplace. Kids can really let their imaginations run wild and get creative with the designs & shapes that they build. It’s one of those building sets that they can sit and play with for hours and always come up with some type of new design.
Overall, I think it’s a really cool building set for kids! You can visit Edushape online to learn more about it and to see all of the other cool children’s toys that they make. We give this set a big 2-thumbs up!
