Back-to-School Breakfast with Barbaras Puffins Cereal
The early morning hours before school starts is one of the busiest’s time of the day for my family. Everyone has to get up out of bed, bathe, get dressed, eat, brush their teeth and grab all of their belonging’s & supplies for the day. In our home, everyone has less than 90 minutes to get all of that completed.
During those busy weekday mornings, I look for quick and easy breakfast ideas. While I don’t let my family eat breakfast cereals every day, I do allow them to enjoy it 2-3 mornings a week along with some fresh fruit and juice.
Recently we had the opportunity to try out three flavors of Barbaras Puffins Cereal. We received:
Puffins Cereal – Original
Puffins Cereal – Cinnamon
Puffins Cereal – Peanut Butter Chocolate
One of the things that really impressed me with these breakfast cereals is that they are NON GMO Verified, are low in fat, a great source of fiber and are lower in sugar than most traditional brands of cereal. These are vegan cereals that are delicious!
Everyone in my family had a different favorite, but all said they were good and would eat all three! My favorite was the Peanut Butter Chocolate Puffins, my husband & mother both loved the Cinnamon Puffins Cereal and my 7 1/2 year old granddaughter loved both the Peanut Butter Chocolate and the Original.
These breakfast cereals have a wonderful taste to them and one of the things we really liked about them is that the cereal isn’t soggy within seconds of your milk hitting the bowl. I don’t know about all of you, but we are NOT fond of soggy cereal and these cereals remained crunchy for a good length of time. In addition, if you want to toss in some fresh strawberries, sliced bananas or blueberries, these cereals are great for that…although they are super delicious on their own too!
This was the first time we’ve tried the Barbaras Puffins line of cereal and we’re really impressed with them. I’ll definitely be adding them to my shopping list for sure!
