3 Delicious Watermelon Beverage Recipes

August 27, 2016 by Carol

Watermelon, it’s something that I look forward to every summer season. Sure, you can buy it in the grocery store year round…but nothing says summer more than biting into a homegrown watermelon! I love them very ripe, juicy and packed full of flavor.

Here are a few fun watermelon facts:

* Over 1,200 varieties of watermelon are grown worldwide
*Every part of a watermelon is edible—even the seeds and rinds
* Watermelon is a fruit and a vegetable—related to cucumbers, pumpkin and squash
* Some watermelons are yellow, and have a sweeter, more honey-like flavor than the pink-fleshed kind

Here are 3 Delicious Watermelon Beverage Recipes courtesy of Sparkling ICE.

The Pomegranate Watermelon drink sounds really nice! I drink a lot of flavored water & watermelon is one of my favorite flavors, so trying a real watermelon drink would be great.

I like the one with fresh ginger. My mother used to make watermelon rind pickles.

Well now I want to go out and find a yellow watermelon since I’ve never tasted one. I have a very small frig so rarely get watermelon. I know, stop being lazy and just cut it first! I do like those personal sized watermelon when they’re not too expensive. Watermelon lemonade sounds good, without the vodka for me please.
