The Perfect High-Protein Snack – Raw Almonds

July 19, 2016 by Sam H.

Raw Natural Almonds from LOVE OUR NUTSI’ve been trying to lose weight for the past couple of years and in the past, I’ve always failed at my weight-loss goals.  I guess I wasn’t dedicated enough and was educated enough on the proper eating habits that I needed to adopt.

All of that changed 8 months ago when I decided to get serious about losing 30 to 35 lbs. I made my goal reasonable and obtainable. One of the things that I learned was that I need to cut down the carbohydrates and replace them with food that was high in protein.

One of the best ways you can get protein into your diet is by consuming natural, raw and protein-rich nuts. Luckily for me, I’m a huge fan of cashews, almonds, macadamia, peanuts and just about any other type of nut. I love to snack on them straight from the package.

A company called Love Our Nuts sent me a 2-pound container of their Almonds to review for you. My wife is allergic to them, so these babies were all mine. These almonds are gluten free, protein rich, heart-healthy and are trans fat free.

Healthy Snacks - Natural Almonds

Serving: per serving which is about 23 almonds (1 ounce) you get 162 calories, 14g fat, zero mg of cholesterol, zero mg of sodium and only 1g of sugar.

I like to just pour the almonds into a bowl and snack on them plain. I also like to put a few of them into my oatmeal, grits or cereal in the morning when I’m having breakfast. We make a lot of homemade ice cream and I’ll toss them into a batch of ice cream too.

The almonds that I was sent for the review are raw and full of flavor. They’re great for snacking on or toss them into your favorite recipe. Place them in a bowl at your next party or family get-together and watch them disappear.

Thank you Love Our Nuts for sending me your delicious raw almonds for this review. They rock!

I love almonds and use them plain, chopped, or ground up in many different recipes. I wish I could eat more of them without upsetting my digestion.

I wish I could eat almonds or nuts easier. Since dentures, I just dont get to eat them, they are too tough on me. I used to love almonds and would eat them all the time in any way shape or for,. I still can manage cashews and thats about it.

wow I never heard of anyone allergic to almonds – but lucky you to have these tasty almonds all to yourself! This is the first I’ve heard of this brand, I’d love to try them. They look delish! and I’m into healthy snacks all the way! What could be better!

Almonds are one of my favorite go to snacks when I need extra energy. I admit that I like the roasted and salted ones the best but only eat those occasionally and stick to the plain roasted ones.

I’m more of a fan of walnuts than almonds since they’re a little easier on the teeth. I know my mom agrees but we both do like the slivered almonds. I use nuts to get more fat in my diet since I’m more of a veggie eater.

I have heard about eating these to lose weight and I am ready to give it a try. I also love almonds and love how filling they are. Thanks for the great review.

I love almonds (or just about any nut.) I love almond butter, too. I could snack on almonds all day long, ha!
