Otters at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

Cleveland Zoo - OttersEvery year we travel around the east coast visiting various zoos and wildlife parks. My husband and I both love animals and enjoy visiting zoos, so that we can learn more about them.

Several months ago we took a road trip to the great state of Ohio. It had been many years since we’ve visited Ohio and we were super excited to spend 5 days exploring the state.

During our trip we had the pleasure to visit the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo which is one of the nicest zoos in the entire state! If you’ve never visited this place, let me tell you…they have a very nice variety of animals for you to see.

We were able to see lions, tigers, bears, zebras, giraffes, a cheetah, elephants, gorillas, monkeys, orangutans, deer, koalas, turtles, fish, birds and all kinds of other animals. I was very pleased with what they had to offer!

As part of my weekly “almost” Wordless Wednesday Travel Post…I’m featuring a photo of the otters that I took while we were visiting the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.

Otters are super cute to look at and they’re very playful animals. However, if you ever get up close & personal to them…they have a nasty odor in my opinion! LOL I guess it’s all of that wet & muddy fur! With that said, I do enjoy watching them play!

Have you ever visited the Cleveland Zoo before? If so, did you enjoy your visit? Which animal is your favorite to see?
