New to Working Out? Elliptical Machine is the Way to Go!

July 8, 2016 by Sam H.

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Body Gear Guide. All opinions are 100% mine.

Are you new to working out? Finally trying to get yourself into physical shape? If so, one of the best pieces of workout equipment you can invest in is an Elliptical machine. These machines are made for people at all fitness levels, from beginner to expert.

Elliptical machines give you a total body workout and many come with a wide variety of different settings. You can work out the muscles in your arms, abdominal area and legs, all with ease. You can start out slow and work your way up to a comfortable level at your own pace. These machines put a LOT less stress on your bones and joints, than other types of workout equipment.

You’ll find them at a variety of different price points, features and sizes. If you live in a small apartment, you can find ones that will work perfectly for that too! Some of these machines are solely  Elliptical machines and others are a hybrid, meaning that they combine a few different pieces of workout equipment into one handy unit.

Why do you need one? Well, I’m going to tell you. An Elliptical machine is a great way to get a total body workout. You can get your cardio going, strengthen your muscles, burn fat & calories, strengthen up your joints and improve your overall stamina. They are a great way to get that oxygen pumping through your entire body. Personally, I find that these types of workouts put a LOT less stress on my body than other types.

Another great reason to invest in one is that you can use it 365 days a year in your own home! Even when the weather outside is terrible, you’ll be comfortable inside getting your workout done. In addition, who wants to pay all of those gym fees? Who wants to commute back & forth to the gym? Not me! They’re convenient and so easy to use!

Not sure why type of machine to get? Well, I am inviting you to check out some expertly written Elliptical Machine Reviews to help narrow down your choice and to learn more about them. Please…do your research on the different brands, models and styles that are out there, before investing in one.

For those of you who already have one, what do you love about it? I would love to hear your personal thoughts too!

I have and use a treadmill at home , but that doe not give me a total body workout. My son has an elliptical machine and he and his wife find it to be great. However I think I may need a bike exercise machine so that my husband can sit and exercise too.

I’m with Heather…the germs and cleaning the machines has always bothered me. Sweat everywhere. These look like quite the workout, kindof an all-in-one. If you don’t mind, and you don’t have to answer but I thought you’d know a little more from experience, how beginner does it get. With my daughter’s health problems she can’t do the classes at the gym or a lot of the equipment. Did you have problems with this or did you find it a good recovery machine?

I sure would love to have one of these in our house. I really like what you wrote about being able to use it 365 days a year and not having to drive to the gym. I have gone to a few of the local gyms in our area and they are like going to a nightclub so I never returned.

OMG, I totally agree Heather. Hubby and I both joined a gym last year and absolutely HATED it. The germs in those places are terrible! They rarely cleaned the equipment & they definitely didn’t clean it after each person used it. The place was big and had a lot of options, but it always smelled like stinky sweat! On top of that, those who are really physically fit, stare & gawk as those who aren’t. We quit after 2 months and invested in just a few pieces for use here at our home. Best decision EVER! I could go on and on and on….about why we hate GYMS!
