How many of you knew that July is national ice cream month? I knew that because I’m a HUGE ice cream fan! We always have some type of ice cream (either store-bought or homemade) sitting in our freezer. One of my favorite flavors is chocolate ice cream with swirls of peanut butter through it and mini PB cups sprinkled in it. YUM!
My husband Sam loves a lot of different flavors of ice cream such as: mint chocolate chip, chocolate marshmallow, rocky road, butter pecan, cherry vanilla and strawberry/cherry to name just a few. My granddaughter Gia will eat almost every flavor put in front of her, just as long as it doesn’t have any nuts in it.
When it comes to ice cream, what are some of your favorite flavors? How often do you indulge in this icy-cold treat?
I received a complimentary T-fal Ingenio Ice Cream Scoop to try out for all of you in honor of national ice cream month. I have to admit, I’m a huge T-fal fan and own several pieces of their cookware and bakeware.
Made of heavy cast material, the Ingenio Ice Cream Scoop will glide through the hardest of ice creams, for the perfect scoop every time. Not to mention, it also features a “kickstand” that props the tool off the counter, so no sticky ice cream residue will be left behind.
As I previously stated, we LOVE ice cream and were excited to try out this new ice cream scoop from T-fal. One of the things that I noticed right away about it is that it fits comfortably in my hand.
Next, it has some nice weight to it…definitely not a cheaply-made product at all. When you use it, you’ll see how easily it glides through your ice cream, even firmly-packed, hard ice cream! I appreciate that it has a built-in kickstand which keeps the scoop off of the counter-top, which means less sticky messes! Finally, they recommend hand washing it, so I always rinse it underneath the top, clean it and immediately dry it before I put it away in the drawer. It’s fantastic!
You can find the T-fal Ingenio Ice Cream Scoop at Amazon, Kohls and at various retailers across the nation for the MSRP of $12.99.

I like T-Fal products and I like that this scoop cuts through ice cream so easily. My favorite flavors are mint chocolate chip and vanilla chocolate chip.
I have ice cream in my freezer all year long because we like to have it along with fruit crisps or pies. In the summer it is great all on its own. I like the look of the featured scooper and how it can glide through the hard ice cream because I hate having to struggle with a scoop that doesn’t work. I have bought inexpensive ones that work great and more expensive ones that are awful so its nice to see a review before buying. Yeah for a kickstand too.
This is one of the BEST ice cream scoops I’ve ever used! I make homemade ice cream all of the time and I buy store-bought too. It glides through hard ice cream, soft ice cream, sherbet, frozen yogurts, etc. with ease. I HONESTLY recommend this item!
If you girls are looking for an easy ice cream sandwich recipe that is out of this world delicious, stay tuned, I’ll be publishing a recipe for Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwiches that are made with chocolate cookies, vanilla ice cream & fresh cherries!
(Let’s Talk About National Ice Cream Month!) I have been a bad girl lately eating way too much of this wonderful summer treat. Our local grocery store has been having it on sale just about every week too, so that doesn’t help me much either. I bet I have gained close to five pounds again eating it! Time to give it up again for awhile and hit the gym again. 🙂
I did know. My daughter does daily “holidays,” and has had lots of ice cream ones this month. There is even an ice cream day. My grandkids were here on the Fourth, and one of the requests from my grandson was homemade ice cream. The wonderful old fashioned kind and chocolate syrup. It was wonderful! We did realize after making it that we had gotten rid of our ice cream scoop so this would be nice. 🙂 One day, we did sundae bars. My granddaughter chose M&M’s, marshmallows, and nuts where my grandson chose M&M’s, chocolate chips, and chocolate syrup.
My favorite ice cream flavor is chocolate almond. My husband loves chocolate chip, strawberry, or mint chocolate chip. So many yummy flavors! Grab a bowl today for junk food day.
So July is National Ice Cream Month–what a great excuse to go out for an ice cream cone! I have an ice cream maker but haven’t pull it out in a couple of years. Lately when I want a frosty treat, I make some Yonanas. But now you’ve got me craving my favorite soft-serve: Raspberry and vanilla swirl in a sugar cone. Mmmmm…..
