Get this-most of the related cases are usually as a result of utter negligence. With due diligence, pro-activeness and careful medical treatment, these cases would have been easily prevented.

Malpractices that Can Lead to Birth Injury

• Medical practitioners fail to detect an umbilical cord that is wrapped around a baby’s neck.

• Failure to test and treat various conditions during pregnancy, or in simple terms misdiagnoses.
• Failure to recognize negative fetal signs.

It is so unfortunate when this happens. I dont think a medical professional with any decency would do it intentionally, but things happen more than we know. They say hospital stays are actually very dangerous….. from falls to catching germs from unsterilized rooms. I myself fell after anesthesia when a nurse who was supposed to escort me to the restroom had a code blue happen. I fell and broke my hand when she let go, and the DR didnt even recognize a broken hand. I drove myself to the hospital the next day for an XRay.

  3. I know someone who has a birth injury so I know this happens more often than people think. Thank you for all of this useful information. I learned a lot reading this post.
