Fun Cocktail Recipes for July 4th

Do you enjoy a cocktail from time to time that is a little different? How about one that is packing a little heat? For me personally…not me…but my husband would absolutely love this cocktail recipe that the great folks over at Sparkling ICE sent over for us to share with all of you.

These two cocktail recipes are centered around the spicy jalapeno pepper. One is a margarita recipe and the other is a martini.

Spicy Jalapeño Margarita Recipe

Spicy Jalapeño Margarita Recipe

2 parts Blanco Tequila
1/2 part Gran Gala
4 drops Hellfire Habenero shrub or 3 slices of Jalapeño pepper
Juice of 1/8 lime
1 1/2 parts Lemon Lime SI

Directions: Shake Tequila, Gran Gala, lime juice and peppers with ice. Pour into rocks glass with salted rim and lime wedge. Top with Lemon Lime Sparkling Ice.

Grapefruit Jalapeño Martini Recipe

3 oz. Pink Grapefruit Sparkling Ice
1 ½ oz. Vodka
1 oz. Lime Juice
Lime Wedge
Sliced Fresh Jalapeño
Chili Salt for Rim of Glass (Kosher Salt Mixed with Chili Powder)

Directions: Use a lime wedge to rub the entire rim of a chilled martini glass, and dip into chili salt mixture. Combine vodka and jalapeno slices with ice in a shaker. Strain and pour into the chilled martini glass. Top with Pink Grapefruit Sparkling Ice. Garnish with a few Jalapeno slices.

    These are great cocktails for people who love chili or hot peppers. I am not one of them, so I would make this cocktail for some family members but not for me.

  2. These are good tips to know when making cocktails for guests that drink alcohol. The grapefruit martini looks so pretty too. I am a huge chili powder fan and would eat it and drink it in anything!
