We were asked to host a family movie night, so that the family could watch Kung Fu Panda 3 together. We invited over a few guests (adults & children) and held our movie night a few night’s ago.
We were provided with a movie viewing kit that included: Key chains for the kids, plush Po’s, a Kung Fu Panda toy, a picnic basket, tea bag squeezers, a $50 gift card to purchase food & beverages, party cups, placemats, black ceramic bowls, chopsticks & a steamer.
Most of the people attending our viewing party don’t like any type of Asian-style food, so we opted for grilled chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, corn, a pasta salad, pickled eggs, etc. The typical foods you would see at a backyard bbq & picnic. I apologize in advance for the quality of some of my photos, a storm had blown through at one point & we had to go onto generator power which doesn’t give us good lighting at all.
After we had our dinner…we all headed into the family room to sit down and watch the film. Some of our guests have seen the previous 2 Kung Fu Panda movies and other’s have not. In total we had 9 adult guests and 4 children here for our viewing party.
If you enjoyed Kung Fu Panda 1 and/or 2, I think you’ll really enjoy the newest installment in the series. As always, Po is completely hilarious & adorable at the same time. It was nice to see his long lost father added into the cast during this film, as well as several of his family members. The movie is a combination animated action-comedy flick that will entertain people of all ages, including us old adults! All of our guests had a great time at our party!
Once everyone left, the Princess got her bath & pj’s on and guess what? Yup, she crawled into bed watching Kung Fu Panda 3 for the second time in a few hours. In a total of 48 hours, I bet ya she’s watched the entire film 4 times, if not more!
Kung Fu Panda 3 is available for purchase now and would make a great addition to your family’s movie viewing library. Out of the 3 films, I would say this one is my second favorite.

Kung Fu Panda 3 sounds like a great movie to watch. Your family night looks like it was a lot of fun and you had a lot of great food for it.
The movie is so funny and enjoyable that I like it as much as my grandkids. With all of the little extras it looks like you had a fabulous party, maybe made even more exciting by a storm blowing through. Good thing you have a generator.
My youngest nephew loves Kung Fu Panda. we watch the TV show all the time & of course, we love the movies. Can’t wait to see this new one!
