When my daughter was growing up we often held family game nights with Ellio’s Pizza as our special treat. As she got older and hit those teen years, we used to invite her friends over to our home for pool parties, pizza and games. Now that she’s all grown up, we are continuing those fun summertime memories with her and our 7 yr. old granddaughter.
Back in May, we had an above ground pool put in our backyard along with a new deck. Every weekend the family has been coming over for a swim and pizza party! Every time they come over, we serve 2 different types of Ellio’s Pizza (usually the cheese and pepperoni varieties) and it’s quickly become our summertime family tradition.
As a child myself…pizza always played a big part in family memories! It was served at my birthday party, sleepover with my friends, pool parties during the summertime and every time we went down to the beach house, pizza was on the menu. Ahhh, just thinking back on all of that brings a big smile to my face!
Ellio’s Pizza has played a big part in my life for many reasons:
1. The pizza comes frozen and is easily found in my grocer’s freezer. It’s convenient for me to keep a few boxes in my freezer for when I need them. I simply take them out of the freezer and pop the slices into my oven or toaster oven. It only takes a few minutes to bake and they’re a perfect mix of crunchy and chewy.
2. . I love that Ellio’s uses the fresh ingredients and 100% real cheese. When it comes to pizza, we always want REAL cheese!
3. I can find it in 6 different flavors: Cheese, Pepperoni, Five Cheese, Supreme, Italian Sausage & Pepperoni, and Extra Cheese. My family loves all 6 flavors, especially the Pepperoni.
4. It’s great for lunch, dinner, snack, as an appetizer or any time you just need to make something quick and hot to eat. When my daughter was in high school, it was her favorite after-school treat.
5. The company got its start back in 1963 and has been around for decades. It’s a brand that I grew up with and trust. It’s their fantastic quality and great-tasting pizza that keeps me and my family coming back for more.
In addition to the backyard pool parties, we love buying Ellio’s Pizza every time we’re down at our beach house. We are always on-the-go down there and getting in & out of the kitchen quickly is a necessity. We love to pop the pizza into the oven or toaster oven and eat it while sitting out on the balcony watching the waves roll by. It makes a great meal served alongside some corn-on-the-cob and a garden fresh side salad. Oh yeah, can’t forget the freshly squeezed lemonade or iced tea too!

This must be a East coast brand because we don’t have it in my West coast market. At least not the one I shop at! However I am a fan of frozen pizza but I like my pizza slice really cheesy but with garlic and tomato sauce only. I guess I am a purist at heart.
Once I was married I discovered Ellio’s Pizza and it is the brand I usually buy. It tastes consistently good and is easy to make as a quick snack .
We Love Pizza. I mostly now make my own pizza when the Gang comes over. I Enjoy doing it and my family loves it. I don’t remember seeing Ellios Pizza at our Grocery stores!! I will check next trip! If I find it I will buy it and give it a try! Sounds Delicious!!
This made me curious because I have never heard of the brand so tried their locator and nothing within 50 miles of me. Looks like it is made on the East Coast but I don’t remember it even though I grew up in New York. We did the same though with our children by having Friday night get togethers with pizza, games and friends.
I did!!! I did!!! I grew up in a town with pizza places all over, and my mom made homemade pizza (and I do, too). But we loved this Ellios pizza, it just is so perfect and quick, too. We all used to have family dinner together, and we three girls were more like the three stooges, always up to a prank, and stealing each others’ pizza, too.
