Today I would like to introduce you to the lighting company called Dorcy who sells hundreds and hundreds of indoor and outdoor lighting products. When you shop at Dorcy you will find motion sensing lighting, flashlights, flood lights, path lights, battery operated ceiling lights, camping lanterns, headlights, spotlights and so much more!
If you’ve been following this blog over the past 3 1/2 years, you’ll already know that Dorcy is my husband’s favorite lighting company. He’s been a fan of their products before I even started reviewing for them! Hubby is a licensed HVAC supervisor, electrician, plumber and contractor, he knows that Dorcy makes quality products!
For this review we were sent the Solar USB 100 Lumens Lantern which is one of the coolest lanterns I’ve ever seen! The base of the lantern is made out of a soft, flexible and collapsible rubber…so you can collapse down the lantern for space-saving storage. If your a hiker…you can easily collapse it down & fit it in your backpack. Plus, you can remove the top and store small items inside it!
The lantern has 3 power settings:
Low with a run time of about 12 hours (50 lumens).
High with a run time of about 5 hours. (100 lumens).
Flash – There is a flashing mode which is really cool too.
You can charge this lantern with the USB cord or with the sun (solar). It’s a nice compact size measuring 6″ tall. If you love being near the water, this lantern is waterproof, so it’s great for beach go-ers, boaters or keep them around your swimming pool. There is a removable hanging strap, so if you want to use it via tabletop, you can do that too.
We received 3 of these solar lanterns and absolutely LOVE them! We tried them out hanging outside on a hook (used as a path light), placed them on my patio table, carried them around while taking a walk one evening and we really love having them on the deck surrounding the swimming pool. If they get knocked over, I don’t have to worry about them breaking! Heck, I would love to have several more of them to use all over my backyard, pool area and several to take with us when we go camping.
