I can see us needing a storage unit because even with a dehumidifier items in the basement or garage will gain an unpleasant smell after a certain period of time. To us the lighting is very important. Adjustable lights would be part of the solution

  2. This is a good idea. Many ppl in the Northeast have good cellars, but in the south many homes don’t have a basement and storage units are more common. Also, if you are considering selling your home, packing non-essentials and renting a storage bin and putting them in there will make your home look more fresh and uncluttered, and will be worth it!

  3. I’ve never used a storage unit but thought about it. There’s many to choose from here in LA but I’ve also heard of break-ins, so I’m uneasy about trying them. It would give me more options about downsizing or moving for sure.

  4. I can see how a storage unit would certainly help to reduce clutter and give ideas of how to use space best. I used a storage unit when I had extra furniture from a relative and it gave me an opportunity to really think about what I wanted to keep or give away.
