Simple, Natural and Pure Humboldt Soap Company Nature Scrub

June 21, 2016 by Kristine

I think one of the most affordable little luxuries is soap and body scrubs. If you are like me, a nice quiet bath with some quality bath products is what I consider my “me time.” I was recently introduced to a new product from Humboldt Soap Company that gives a new twist to the body scrub. The Nature Scrub bar is a perfect little package that helps exfoliate and balance your skin.

Humboldt Soap Company was founded in 2012 and offers the best in handcrafted natural soap including many varieties of goat milk soap, vegan soap, goat milk lotion, as well as face creams, body washes, and a variety of other products.

Humboldt Soap Company Nature Scrub

Humboldt Soap Company’s handcrafted Nature Scrub is an ideal replacement for sugar or salt scrubs as it comes in a convenient bar. The Nature Scrub bar contains 3 types of earth clay, 8 natural oils and butters and 4 kinds of natural seeds to exfoliate, stimulate circulation and balance your skin. Wet your scrub bar in the bath or shower and using a circular motion gently scrub your skin with the bar. I’ve been using it and my skin feels so smooth and fresh. What I also like about it is that it’s not a “girly” soap, so everyone in the family can benefit from its quality ingredients.

The bar also looks really cool sitting next to my tub. Each bar has five layers that consist of Moroccan Clay, a 4 seed mixture (is layered twice in the bar), Kaolin Clay, and Bentonite Clay. Here’s a little more background on some of these ingredients:

• Moroccan Clay is loaded with minerals and has been used by Moroccan women to enhance skin and hair for centuries. It helps to detoxify the skin, while also acting as a cleanser and skin conditioner.

• Kaolin is a naturally occurring clay substance mostly found in soils that have developed from the chemical weathering of rocks in hot, moist climates. Kaolin Clay works is ideal for reducing the production of sebum, which is an oily substance secreted by the sebaceous glands, which can cause oily skin and acne.

• Bentonite clay, also called Montmorillonite clay, is cleanser and detoxifier that has been known to defend against illnesses. It is composed of ash made from volcanos.

This is a quality-made product that is completely vegan with no fillers or sulfates. Since this soap is a scrub, be careful not to use it on the more sensitive parts of your body. Use one of the Humboldt Soap Company body washes or soaps instead.

The Nature Scrub can be purchased on the Humboldt Soap Company website for $8.00.
