Summer is finally here and I’m one of those women who loves to show off her pedicure! I’ll run around at home & at the beach barefoot and then when we go out, I love to wear a pair of strappy sandals to show off my pretty pedicure.
While getting a pedi at a salon or spa is nice, it also comes with a price tag. On top of that, you have to worry about all of the germs while there and using shared products just grosses me out! For myself personally, I prefer to do my own at home!
Here’s How to Get the Perfect Pedi at Home!
Step 1 – Remove old toenail polish. Trim nails with clippers or nail scissors. Use a cuticle stick to push back the cuticles if necessary.
Step 2 – Use the Amope Pedi Perfect Wet & Dry Rechargeable Foot File to slough off the dead skin on the bottom of your feet and heels. This foot file is wireless & comes with a charging unit. You can use it wet or dry!
Step 3 – Soak feet in a basin of water with your desired foot soak product. If needed, use a skin exfoliator to slough off dead skin. Your foot soak should last 10-15 minutes.
Step 4 – Towel dry your feet. Apply a moisturizing lotion, foot balm or cream to the bottom of your feet, around your ankles and on top of each foot. Massage this product in until it’s absorbed.
Step 5 – Apply a base coat of polish onto your toenails. Let it dry. Apply 1-2 coats of your favorite nail polish color on top. Let it dry. Finish up by applying a good top coat on top. Let everything dry thoroughly.
Tip: If you’re in a hurry, invest in a good fast-drying clear topcoat. You can find them out in the retail marketplace and most dry within 2 minutes. I love using them because they save me time!
I received a complimentary Pedi Perfect Wet & Dry Rechargeable Foot File from Amope and I absolutely LOVE it! I’ve been using it for 2 weeks now to slough off the dead skin from the bottom of my feet. One of the things I love about it is that I can use it in the shower (wet) or use it dry once out. Second, it’s wireless! It comes with rechargeable batteries & a charging unit! I simply plug it in between uses, so that it’s always ready to go. It has 2 speed settings…a low and a high and it fits comfortably in my hands. Finally, it’s compact enough in size that I can take it with me when I travel.
Since I’ve been using it…all of the dead skin is gone! The bottom’s of my feet are now “baby soft” and never looked better! I can run around barefoot again or wear my strappy sandals to show off my beautiful pedicure!
You can purchase the Amopé Pedi Perfect Foot File – Electronic Pedicure Tool – Regular Coarse, Blue (Also Available in Pink Extra Coarse) from Amazon for a great price! I absolutely LOVE this thing!

I have the Pedi Perfect Wet & Dry Rechargeable Foot File from Amope and it works so good in giving me an at home pedicure! I like how it makes my feet feel so smooth! Thanks for the tips on getting the perfect pedicure!
I wondered if the Amope was strong enough to deal with callouses, etc. I always go barefoot so my heels are terrible. I’ve been using something else but the replacement rollers are crazy expensive.
If I can make a recommendation for polish, something I never thought I’d do, after trying several of the new gel polishes I got a bottle of essie, not one I normally use. It’s been nearly two weeks and my pedicure looks as shiny and new as the day I applied it. It’s dark red too, one that should show chips.
I’ll watch for sales on these. My feet are not that bad and my Ped Egg still does a good job. This would be good for people who have arthritis, so they don’t have to work too hard to smooth their feet.
I am admittedly a mess. I am in the garden so much or in dirt or something. The worst part is I wear Crocs or something like that, and my whole summer is dirty toes! I do like the file though, that would be nice. I think my feet look better in the winter than the summer, and no one sees my feet in the winter!
You say you’ve used the foot file both wet and dry. Which seems to be the best way to use it?
Foot File sounds great staying home a plus for me
I would so love to get one of these foot files. I sure need to do some work on my feet especially since the weather is really heating up around here. I would prefer to do my own pedicures so thank you for all the great tips.
