Slow Cooker Dark Roast Coffee Pork Sliders Recipe

Dark Roast Coffee Pork Sliders RecipeSummer is finally here and the temperatures are heating up. During the hot summertime months, I’m always looking for easy-to-prepare recipes that I can make in my slow cooker, so that I don’t have to heat up the house with the oven. One great recipe that you can make this year is the Community Coffee Dark Roast Coffee Pork Sliders. You can make them as small sliders or do it like we did…just load up your favorite full-size hamburger or hot dog bun.

Pulled Pork Sliders Recipe

Hubby’s sandwich isn’t as pretty as their’s but trust me, this is one delicious-tasting recipe!

For sauce: In a large skillet, whisk together brewed coffee, brown sugar, mustard, ketchup, tomato paste, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium and cook, stirring frequently, until thickened, about 30 minutes. Pour sauce into a bowl. Wipe out skillet.

For pork: In same skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Sprinkle pork with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Add pork to skillet, and brown on all sides, about 8 minutes. Place pork in a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker. Pour 1 cup coffee sauce over pork. Cover and cook on low until tender, about 9 hours.

Place pork on a cutting board, and shred between 2 forks. Serve on slider buns with remaining coffee sauce, prepared coleslaw and pickles.

Community Coffee K-Cups

Community Coffee sent us 3 boxes of the K-Cup coffees to try out for all of you. We used the Community® Dark Roast coffee to make the recipe featured above. The Community® House Blend is the perfect coffee for hubby and I to enjoy every morning as we start our busy day. He loves to drink his black and I love adding a little sugar and cream to mine. It’s one of the best coffees that we ever had. It’s perfect to consume all day long.

Community Coffee Mocha Vanilla Iced Coffee

For those of you who enjoy drinking iced coffees…the Community® Mocha Vanilla Iced Coffee is a real winner! Now that summer is in full swing, we enjoy drinking an iced coffee during a hot afternoon to help cool us down. With this one, you really don’t need to add any sugar or cream. We brew it and pour it into a tall glass filled with ice. Oh my gosh…it’s absolutely delicious!

Looking for a new slow cooker? I have three of them and use them all of the time. The last two that I got…I purchased from Amazon and love them!
