BFree Wheat and Gluten Free Wraps

June 7, 2016 by Shelly

BFree Gluten Free FoodsMy mother is 68 years old and lives with us on a part-time basis. A few years ago she started having a slew of GI issues and after seeing a specialist, he told her that she needed to go gluten-free. Since that time, she has went to a 90% gluten-free diet.

Since she’s at our home all of the time, it’s my job to make sure that gluten-free products are coming into my home. Instead of buying two different items (one for us and one for her), we decided to add gluten-free products to our own nutritional diets.

Recently we were introduced to a new company in the United States called BFree who makes gluten free breads, rolls, pita breads, bagels and wraps. All of their products are low-calorie, high-fiber and low-fat, plus they have the same consistency and taste as conventional wheat breads.

The entire BFree line is free of wheat, dairy, eggs, nut and soy, meaning that all products are gluten-free, allergen-friendly and completely vegan! So, if you have a special diet or just want to eat better-for-you foods, try out the products from BFree.

BFree Quinoa and Chia Seed Wraps

We received a complimentary package of the Quinoa and Chia Seed Wraps with Teff and Flax Seeds from BFree. While I’ve heard of quinoa, chia seeds and flax seeds before, this was the first time that I ever heard of Teff.

These wraps are high in fiber, full of healthy seeds and a great source of protein. You can use them for cold wrap sandwiches, hot wrap sandwiches, burritos, etc. For the review, my mother and husband enjoyed using them to make their hot and cold sandwiches last week. Both of them loved how these wraps tasted and how easy they were to use.

Gluten Free Wraps from BFree

We also received a complimentary package of the Multigrain Wraps from BFree which were my favorite of the two. Free from all major allergens; gluten, wheat, dairy, egg, nuts and soy and containing only 100 calories per Wrap.

The wraps are high in fiber and low in fat. For most of us, we all need to get more fiber into our diets and these wraps are a great way to do that. Just like the first set of wraps we featured above, you can use them for your cold sandwiches, hot sandwiches and for burritos.

breakfast burrito with guacamole

We had the family over for breakfast a few weeks ago and decided to make up a big batch of breakfast burritos for everyone to enjoy. We stuffed them with scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese, chopped bell pepper, chopped onion and topped them off with some yummy guacamole. They were delicious!

You can learn more about the BFree foodie products by visiting their site online. Looking for find their products? Use their handy dandy store locator to find out where they are sold near you.

Both of these wraps are items that I would love to try. I like a lot of gluten-free products if they are well made. I always want to try foods are that are good for me.

I really want to try the wraps. I haven’t tried teff either and have no idea what it’s like. The bread I tried from Bfree was really good. I see all the Kroger stores around me (Ralph’s here) carry a variety of the brand.

I like finding gluten-free items that actually taste good (honestly, a lot just don’t taste right or have the right texture.) I’ll have to look for these!
