How many of you have ever had a UTI? If you’re not familiar with that term, UTI stands for Urinary Tract Infection. Up to half of all women will experience a painful urinary tract infection in their lifetime and 20% of those will experience recurring UTIs, getting as many as 3 per year.
When I was 15 years old I had my first experience with a urinary tract infection and let me tell you, I can remember that first infection like it was yesterday. For the past 30+ years I’ve gotten at least 5 UTIs every year and I’ve seen countless number of doctors for them. Over the years I’ve learned a lot about them and to this day, I continue to learn even more.
One thing that I’ve been educating myself on is the use of a cranberry supplement to help support my urinary tract health. Matter of fact, I’ve been using a product called Uricalm that features a powerful combination of ingredients in a berry-flavored chewable. Take note of these 2 powerful ingredients:
Cranberry: Scientific studies have shown a link between consuming cranberry & maintaining a healthy urinary tract.
D-Mannose: This ingredient helps prevent the adherence of certain microorganisms to the walls of the urinary tract, allowing your body’s natural defenses to keep your urinary tract health.

For the past 2 weeks I’ve been taking Uricalm Cranberry with D-Mannose every day. The dosage is 2 chewable tablets, daily. The tablets are berry-flavored, so you don’t mind taking them at all. It’s an OTC (over-the-counter) supplement that is widely available at numerous retail, grocery & drug stores. I’ve been using the cranberry supplement to help support my overall urinary health.
When I get a urinary tract infection I get terrible burning when I urinate, pressure in my pelvic area, the urge to frequently urinate and at times…a fever. I feel absolutely miserable when a UTI strikes! If you’re looking for something over-the-counter to help alleviate these symptoms, let me introduce you to Uricalm Max, a urinary pain-relief medicine.
Uricalm Max promptly stops urinary pain, burning, increased frequency & the sensation of urgency to-go. It contains 99.5 mg of clinically-proven Phenazopyridine Hydrochloride per tablet and 199 mg. per dose. This is the most UTI pain medicine of this particular type that you can get over the counter. Want something stronger? Sorry, you’ll need a prescription for that!
It’s very easy to take with the normal adult dosage: Take 2 tablets with water after eating, up to three times per day, for a maximum of 2 full days. It should be used according to package instructions or as instructed by a physician. Like with everything in your medicine cabinet, please read and follow all directions before using.
Just like the first product I introduced you to, this one is also available nationwide at various retailers, grocery stores and drug stores.
If you would like a $3.00 off coupon good towards Uricalm® MAX or Uricalm® Cranberry visit the company’s web site.

I have had this problem for years. It comes and it goes. I usually but the AZO and use it. I am also on a cranberry juice regiment.
I have never heard of this. Cranberries, yes of course, but the other ingredient is a big piece of information.
Oh, I forgot to say. Yes, I get them. I used to drink this great combination of Cranberry Juice and Hibiscus Tea from Trader Joe’s but they discontinued it!
These infections are bad my daughter gets them
i have not had this in a while hate the pain it cause
burning and side pains .she has to drink cranberry juice all the time
to keep it under control
I have had one UTI in my life and it was awful. My doctor game me some antibiotics and it went away after like a week if I remember correctly. I am learning more and more that I need to incorporate more natural remedies into my diet like cranberry which I have never really been a fan of.
I get UTI’s once in a while. I hate getting them! It always hurts when I walk or pee. I make sure to drink water or cranberry juice and it really helps! My grandma also suffers from UTI’s and I would tell her about this product.
I have a problem with chronic UTIs too. I take a lot of cranberry in different forms and my physician gave me a prescription for a low-dose antibiotic that helps.
I had never ever gotten a UTI until after menopause. The first one I had, I didnt have a clue what it was, only I felt horrible and felt like I had a fever. I also had the pressure and although no burning, going to the bathroom constantly and blood. My Dr went nutso, and had tons of tests done as bleeding after menopause isnt a good thing. I took antibiotics and have had to do it off and on for quite some time. I went to a gynecologist after a referral and she put my on another med and I havent had one lately.
The eighty year old lady that I cook and clean for seven days a week gets these UTI’s quite often. One of her home health care nurses said it was probably due to the wearing of the incontinence all the time-
my has this from time to time and when she gets it it is extreme burning and painful to urinate. Great to see a product that will help her with this problem. Will have to check it out in the drug store next visit.
I have to pee all time and am uncomfortable. I drink more water and try to drink less soda. I get them with no warning.
I have chronic UTI. My symptoms are: an urge to urinate frequently, burning and pain in the lower belly. I currently take Cystex and Cranberry pills.
I do get UTIs very often and so does my mom (she has a prolapsed bladder). Our symptoms are basically the same: burning when we pee, a really sudden very stronge urge to pee, and a dull ache down around the lower abdomen. My mom also gets some blood in her urine, where I get cloudy urine. We both get miserable! My mom can can take Bactrim which clears it up, but I am DEADLY allergic to that! So I get prescribed a Z-pak, which seems to take longer to work, but at least does not land me in the ICU! We both drink water like crazy to flush out our systems. Ugh!
UTI’s are a miserable thing to deal with! On top of that, it takes antibiotics several days before they kick in. Then you have to keep your fingers crossed that it’s the right antibiotic and that you don’t get a vaginal yeast infection from taking them. It’s a terrible roller coaster! I think it’s great that there are PROVEN natural supplements we can take to help ward off those UTI infections and that there are OTC things that we can take to help relieve the symptoms. Suffering is no fun at all.
You know, now that I think of it, the tendency toward UTIs must run in families. My daughter used to get so many as a toddler, we had to take her for an IVP and a voiding cystourethragram (spelling?). And I agree with you, MUCH better to go for natural remedies. Thanks for bringing Uricalm to the forefront!
