Interior Landscaping with Green Plants

May 15, 2016 by Shelly

With our homes and our lives having shifted into the concrete jungle that is the metropolis, people may crave for a patch of green space in their own home. Some compromise and compensate by keeping potted plants around, but you can really revamp your indoors by maintaining a well-planned and well-designed interiorscape. You must also remember that the key to a great landscape is maintenance and care. It isn’t a painting which will stay the same for years; you are expected to constantly tend to it by pruning, shaping and watering regularly. You should only opt for landscaping to be installed in your home if you are capable and willing to put the required amount of effort into maintaining it, or to hire someone to do that for you.

Key Maintenance Factors

Trimming- If your plants start growing unhindered, it is just a matter of time before they look wild and unkempt, and may also disturb the entire ecosystem you have set up. Get professional assistance to determine exactly what and where you should trim when you need to.

Weeds and Moss- Possibly the biggest threat to any plant is another wild plant which feeds on the air and water which the other plant requires to sustain itself. Besides the obvious cosmetic issue, this unwanted flora can have adverse effects on the health of your plants.

Pests- Bugs and rodents can destroy your plants overnight. You must handle any required extermination activities or the like before setting the landscape up, and must check from time to time to see if anything has resurfaced.

Why Hiring an Expert Makes Sense

Your life is possibly difficult enough, and all you want is a beautiful aspect added to your home, and not all the hassle it brings with it. You may not be able or willing to devote the sort of time or effort a task like this entails. Further, your knowledge of gardening and plant maintenance may not be deep enough to understand or fix issues which arise throughout the life cycle of your plants.

There are several tasks which need to be performed, and are better if delegated to an expert who knows what he is doing and is relatively effortless for him. It is a great idea to hire a professional landscaping company like King Landscape Co who would be able to draw on years of experience, unlimited expertise and the most advanced technology in the business to bring your interiorscaping dreams to fruition.

Add an Aesthetic Element to Your Workspace

Plants are wonderful tools which can be used by expert landscapers to weave dreams on any empty space. Interior landscaping is perfect for offices as it looks brilliant and impressive, and appeals to employees and customers alike. From potted plants in receptions to full-blown, glorious planting displays in atria or other large spaces, the sky is the limit. You can bring color and brightness to corners which were dark and ignored earlier. Aromatic plants can also be used to bring a very fresh, natural scent throughout your office.

If you are yearning for the countryside with large trees and lush canopies but are limited to the concrete and steel all around you, a great landscaping company would be able to recreate the entire scenery on a smaller scale using beautiful bonsai trees and using mosses liberally. Elevation can be introduced to generate lush hills and sprawling mini-meadows as well.

Interiorscapes Look Great Everywhere

If you’re looking for something sturdy and more sustainable, cacti are great too. Use pebbles in tandem with some well-placed cactus plants and flowers for a clean, pretty look. You could have landscapes bordering your bathroom or your terrace as well. Vertical gardens on large walls are in fashion too. There is no surface that can’t be made more beautiful with interiorscaping, and for the right professional, there is no limit to the creative potential for designing the landscape.

Interesting. I had never thought of this. We talk about bringing the outdoors in with colors and designs, but I never considered actually planting and doing landscape indoors. I can see where people in cities and office buildings would really lean toward this. We used to have an indoor mall that had trees and landscape in it, but I had never really thought of it as “interiorscaping.” What a concept! I like having a lawn and having a dog makes it high on the list, but I know cities often don’t have that option. Thanks for this post and bringing awareness to this idea.

This is food for thought – I never considered having anything living in my place it is dark and haven’t taken a chance on buying plants. I need to look into this!!!! I was thinking when I lived in a place I had beautiful plants – so nice a florist bought some!

THis sounds like a great company if you need help in interior landscaping or just don’t know what to do. I have to explore this concept more.

King Landscape Company sounds like it would be a good option, if we only had the room and the conditions for interior landscaping! Not as a company, here, but in our apartment. I’d love to have lush greeenery around..but the lack of light, and the presence of the hoghway outside makes it pretty much impossible. I am going to try the bleeding hearts, though, since they can live in the shade. Let’s hope they can live through the exhaust of the 8-kane highway!
