As you all know…I decorate my main home and our vacation (beach house) in a coastal style. I just love anything and everything that screams the beach and coastal living!
Last year for Christmas 2015…my very talented brother made me two new deck chairs and a storage chest/table. The two deck chairs are made out of new wood, reclaimed wood and the arm rests are made out of wooden skis!
The storage chest/table is made out of a 35 year old wooden chest that used to belong to my deceased great auntie. He completely refurbished the wooden chest and then refurbished an old wooden surf belly board which he added to the top.
My brother spent over a month making all three of these pieces for me and gave them to me for Christmas this past year. Right now I have them sitting on my covered front porch but once the weather gets nice out again…I’ll be moving them to the deck which is near our swimming pool. I think they’ll look nice there!
My brother is extremely talented when it comes to refurbishing old furniture. He can make old things look new again or repurpose those old things into something completely new!
Do you like to build things? Rip a part old things and refinish them into new things? I’m very crafty but what my brother can do is way beyond my skills!

I love it! It looks great. These days, I can’t do those low chairs, lol, because I need to be hauled back to my feet!! But I love that look.
Gorgeous, you are lucky to have such a talented family member willing to share. I especially love upcycled/repurposed furniture, and that blue color is just fabulous.
