Sara’s Thoughts: I love that Mom’s Love Rub is a handmade product that uses all-natural oils and herbs. I suffer from eczema, so it is nice to know there are a few products out there that work for my skin…most products make my eczema worse, but products like Mom’s Love Rub keeps it from flaring up when used. I love how a little bit of this product goes a long way, so the rub will last you forever (or so it may seem).
I will advise that the lotion can be very greasy, so I recommend using it right before bed. That way it will keep your body hydrated all night long. It’s also a very affordable product. I’ve been using this product for about a week and I can already tell a difference in my skin. It’s much softer and feels great. I no longer have to hide my skin from the world. If you’re looking for a great all-natural lotion, then I would recommend giving Mom’s Love Rub a try.

This is amazing stuff. I gave the small ones as part of Christmas gifts one year. Everybody wanted more. My kids carry a jar in their back packs at college. I have a few around the house. Love, love, love my MLR!
Thank you, Debbie. I love the way people are eager to spread the love….the Mom’s Love Rub love. We’re so happy to know your family uses our ointment. Happy dance!
I think that the use of the word ointment is the better one because ointments are usually both more greasy and more solid than lotions. I like that this product has all the mentioned natural ingredients.
Jo-Ann, we love the all-natural aspect too! Most products are loaded with ingredients we can’t even pronounce. We wanted Mom’s Love Rub to be something we were happy to put on our skin. And we are!
This would have been ideal for hubby’s radiation. We were given an ointment, and I switched him to coconut oil. It was greasy, but it stayed on. I like that it has a combo of all natural ingredients. The price is nice too. I would have thought it would be higher!
Ellen, I think you’re spot-on about Mom’s Love Rub and radiation-damaged skin. We have several customers who use it just for that purpose. A personal friend of mine first tried it after her chemo treatments. She too had been given a lotion and found it did very little good. She said her skin felt awful. I suggested she try MLR and she immediately loved it. She even took some to the doctor’s office and they told her to continue using it with their blessing.
I started producing MLR for my own family and shared it with friends along the way. Over time I found it was helpful and useful to many and requests for more came flooding in. We’re just happy to make people comfortable and confident as they manage various skin conditions.
For me, production isn’t about numbers, it’s about lives. Please let us know if you ever have need of Mom’s Love Rub in the future. Thank you!
I might have to give this a try. I’m diabetic & have really dry skin issues, & I have to use diabetic creams on my feet every night. I bet this would do a great job on my feet.
Tamar, my mother is diabetic and has often complained of super dry skin. And winter compounds that problem! She puts Mom’s Love Rub on her hands and feet every night before bed.
Even though I’m not diabetic, I use it the same way too. My feet are always in wonderful shape and ready for a pair of sassy sandals any day!
Mom’s Love Rub is a family-owned business. We are delighted to make a product that brings comfort and silky, soft skin to many happy users. Let us know if you’d like to try some.
I need to get some of this really good Ointment that is not made with a lot of chemicals. I love all the oils in it to help combat my dry skin!
Julie, I couldn’t agree more! When I started making Mom’s Love Rub, I wanted something I could feel good putting on my own children’s skin.
In fact, that one sentence basically sums up how our ointment got its name! I created it to ease the pains of childhood boo-boos and hoped my gentle touch would add a bit of Mama-love to the healing process.
So we kicked the nasty chemicals to the curb and used only primo ingredients. Only the best for the ones we love, right? And the rest is history, as they say…..ten years of making, sharing, and selling MLR to fans across the globe. Let us know if you’d like to try it for yourself.
I pinned this to get when I get low on my African shea butter. Mine is in a tin but the consistency of a more solid ointment. I especially love it on my lips! This should be a bit more creamy I would think.
Deb, I think Mom’s Love Rub is very creamy. And as mentioned already, a little goes a long way. But everyone we know loves that fact. Let us know if you’d like to try some!
Hi Sarah L,
Think of it as a lotion bar but in a container. So it’s going to be a solid. But I do LOVE that it’s handmade. You won’t need a lot and obviously the more you use the more greasy your hands will be. I use it at night while I’m sleeping
They use the word ointment and you used the word lotion and said it was greasy. So is it a solid or a liquid? I like handmade products where you know exactly what’s in them.
Sarah, Mom’s Love Rub is solid, but it’s soft enough spread easily. Our customers love to use it for many skin conditions. It does tend to be greasy which is why a little goes a long way.
We tend to think of it as an ointment that goes well with beauty supplies or a first aid kit. It brings softness back to dry skin and it has been helpful in bringing relief to other skin conditions. Let us know if you’d like to try Mom’s Love Rub.
