North Wildwood in New Jersey – The Seawall

I can’t believe we are finally into the month of April and that spring has finally arrived! This past winter was long, cold and definitely dreary. I’m glad that we have finally put winter 2016 into the books.

Now that spring is finally here…I’m looking forward to hitting our beach house down in North Wildwood New Jersey several times throughout the season. Last year we were very fortunate and got down to the beach house five times…which is really unusual for us. Hoping that this year…we can do the same!

In North Wildwood there is an area called the Hereford Inlet which is absolutely gorgeous! The Atlantic ocean comes into this inlet and it’s often the place where you can stand on the beach and see dolphins swimming nearby. On top of that, the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse is located here and the Victorian-style lighthouse has beautiful floral gardens surrounding it.

About 10 years ago they constructed a seawall which doubles as a walkway and running path that goes from North Wildwood and up around the Hereford Inlet. Along the way you can sit down on one of the benches that are on the seawall to take in the sights or go down onto the beach for some fun in the sun.

Both of the photos that I’m featuring today in my “almost” Wordless Wednesday post were taken early last fall (fall 2015) while I was standing on the seawall in North Wildwood. As you can see…the area is absolutely beautiful.

We will be doing a lot of traveling this spring and summer, so I’ll be sharing all kinds of travel photos with all of you as the season goes along. I love giving you peeks into my life and the things that I like to see and do! Enjoy!
