One of televisions best comedies VEEP: The Complete Fourth Season is available on Blu-ray and DVD starting on April 19th, 2016 and available now on Digital HD. It’s a five-time Emmy Award Winner, including outstanding comedy series.
HBO has quality original entertainment and this original comedy series is no exception…it’s top-notch! This TV series stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus and she’s one of my husband’s favorite comedy actresses.
Synopsis: Having become president after her predecessor stepped down, it remains to be seen whether her term will outlast that of America’s shortest-serving president, William Henry Harrison. With the stakes for Selina and her team higher than ever before, she must still run for election, and over the course of the season’s 10 episodes they will grapple with how to make her seem “presidential.”
The series, created by Oscar nominee Armando Iannucci, features an ensemble cast including Emmy nominee Anna Chlumsky, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Reid Scott, Matt Walsh, Timothy C. Simons, Sufe Bradshaw, Kevin Dunn, Gary Cole and new series regular Sam Richardson. Recurring guests this season include Hugh Laurie, Patton Oswalt and Sara Sutherland.
My Thoughts: If you’re tired of all of the drama surrounding this year’s election season and current real-life politics…it’s time for some fun! VEEP: The Complete Fourth Season is hysterically funny and has well-written story lines to keep you thoroughly entertained every episode! Trust me, EVERY episode is jam-packed with humor and fun!
When it comes to comedies, I’m extremely picky on the ones that I’ll watch. I’m not into “slap-stick” comedy at all and this definitely is not that! It’s a comedy that has story lines that have some substance. You get to know each of the characters as each episode goes along and the actors & actresses on this show do an extremely good job at making their characters come to life.
HBO has several original comedy series and VEEP happens to be my husband’s favorite comedies on HBO. I don’t think he’s ever missed an episode and he’s a big fan of the comedy TV genre. We give this original HBO series a huge 2-thumbs up and if you love well-written comedies, you’ll enjoy this one!

I love a good comedy, but I’ve never watched VEEP. We don’t have HBO.
This is one of my favorite comedies. The characters are great and there are so many funny scenes. I am looking forward to the current season.
I so want to see this show, I have heard that it is a good one. I need to sit down and watch every episode from season one to the present. I like watching these shows on dvd because I don’t have to suffer through all of those stupid worthless commercials – I am allergic to commercials.
I have never watched this program.. I think it would be a welcome relief from all the crazy political nonsense. I could use some good laughs.
