Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads + Recipes
How many of you have tried the Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads before? I have to admit, that I’ve never tried them until this foodie review and wow…I was really missing out on a good thing!
The Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads contain no artificial preservatives, synthetic dyes, contain no trans fat and no hydrogenated oils. These flatbreads are baked in a tandoor oven at high heat creating the signature bubble and smoky flavor found in traditional naan.
The company is family-owned and has been in business for over 40 years. Their breads are made with traditional ingredients and can be used on the stove-top, on a barbecue grill, traditional oven, toaster or reheated in the microwave. You can even freeze them for future use!
For this review we received the following:
* Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads Tandoor Baked Nann in Garlic
* Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads Tandoor Baked Mini Nann in Original
* Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads Stone Oven Baked Artisan Thin Pizza Crust
Two weeks ago we were extremely busy for most of the day running around to doctor’s appoints and getting medical testing done. After being gone for almost 6 hours we arrived back home and were starving! We decided to use the Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads Tandoor Baked Nann in the Garlic flavor to make some flatbread sandwiches.
We brushed each side of the flatbread with a little bit of olive oil. We then chopped up some fully-cooked leftover steak, bell peppers, onions, tomatoes and cheese and topped each of the flatbreads with those ingredients. On top we sprinkled a little bit of basil. If you don’t have any steak, you can also use fully-cooked diced chicken like we did a few nights later.
Place them onto a baking sheet and bake in a 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes or until all of the cheese has melted and they are heated through. Remove and serve immediately. I have to admit, they were super delicious and easy to make! We will definitely be making these again!
Just last week we used the Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads Artisan Thin Pizza Crust to make a homemade pizza. The package instructions includes methods for making in a traditional oven: baking sheet, directly on oven rack and on a preheated pizza stone.
We topped ours with a jar of pizza sauce, sliced red, yellow & green bell peppers, sliced tomatoes and with a lot of mozzarella cheese! We baked it in the oven at 375 degrees for about 8-10 minutes or until it was done. We removed it from the oven (after baking directly on the rack) with our bamboo pizza paddles and served it immediately. It was a big hit with the family that night!
We also received a pack of the Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads Tandor Baked Mini Naan in Original in the toaster size. One day I had my 2 nephews here and my grand daughter after school. They were all hungry and they toasted them in our toaster oven and made mini pizzas with them. They are the perfect size for individual servings!
As I previously stated, this was our first time trying any of the Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads and now that we have…we are hooked on them! We will definitely be buying these when we go to the grocery store again. Love them!
