How many of you enjoy drinking a good mimosa cocktail? I know I do! One of the things I like about making the mimosa is that it’s simple to prepare and once you’ve learned how to do the basic mimosa…you can make fancier ones along the way. Here’s the recipe for the basic version.
You can serve them in champagne flutes or in a wine glass. We always chill our orange juice and Asti Spumante for several hours before mixing up our drinks.
Basic Mimosa Cocktail Recipe
1 Bottle of Champagne or White Wine
1 Jug Orange Juice
Fill the glass halfway with champagne or white wine. We personally like to use Asti Spumante but you can use whatever you prefer. Add the orange juice until your glass is almost full. You can serve them as-is but we like to garnish our rims with large fresh strawberries.
Peach Mimosa Cocktail Variation: Mix 2 cups of peach nectar with 1 1/2 cups of orange juice in a large pitcher. Fill glass halfway with champagne or white wine. Top it off with the peach/orange juice. Serve immediately.
Again…you want to chill all of your fruit juices, champagne and wines before mixing them into delicious cocktails!!!

oh wow we love Asti Spumante!!! I have never had a Mimosa of any kind – I adore orange juice, too. Now I must try this – but not for breakfast!!!
This looks good i love peaches and this will
taste great with this fruit.
I would love to try out both of the Classic Mimosa and Peach Mimosa Cocktail Recipes. I think that they would be really refreshing on a hot summer day. I will be trying them this season.
These both sound delicious, but I think I would prefer the Peach mimosa. I also love the idea of garnishing with fresh fruit, whether it be strawberries or peach slices.
(Classic Mimosa and Peach Mimosa Cocktail Recipes) After the kind of day I had yesterday I sure good have used one of these last night. Thanks for sharing-
I dont much drink but I do like a good mimosa. I think the peach sounds terrific, very summery. I think this would be good too with apricot nectar. Now I want one!!!
I’d like the peach mimosa. Actually, I’d like several of them.
You and I both Sarah 🙂
Me three! OMG, I’ve had one tough, painful and stressful week. I could use a few good drinks.
