My mother is 68 years old and lives with us on a part-time basis. A few years ago she started having a slew of GI issues and after seeing a specialist, he told her that she needed to go gluten-free. Since that time, she has went to a 90% gluten-free diet.
Since she’s at our home all of the time, it’s my job to make sure that gluten-free products are coming into my home. Instead of buying two different items (one for us and one for her), we decided to add gluten-free products to our own nutritional diets.

Recently we were introduced to a new company in the United States called BFree who makes gluten free breads, rolls, pita breads, bagels and wraps. All of their products are low-calorie, high-fiber and low-fat, plus they have the same consistency and taste as conventional wheat breads.
The entire BFree line is free of wheat, dairy, eggs, nut and soy, meaning that all products are gluten-free, allergen-friendly and completely vegan! So, if you have a special diet or just want to eat better-for-you foods, try out the products from BFree.
Over the next several weeks, we’ll be reviewing several products from BFree. Today, we are featuring their delicious gluten-free breads. For this review we received 4 loaves of bread:
Soft White Sandwich Loaf – features longer-length slices (perfect for sandwich-making), contains no added sugar, low in fat, dairy-free product and non-GMO.
Brown Seeded Sandwich Loaf – features longer-length slices (perfect for sandwich making), contains no added sugar, low in fat, dairy-free product & non-GMO.
We love to make sandwiches for lunch, especially during the weekend when we need grab-n-go foods. One of the things I immediately liked about these breads is the longer-lengths…which is perfect for sandwich-making! You no longer have to fold-over your meats and cheeses a gazillion times to get them to fit onto a slice of bread! Next, I really love the taste of the bread! I liked both varieties but if I had to pick a favorite, I would pick the Soft White, but my mother really loved the Brown Seeded. Hubby, well, he wasn’t picky and would eat both! Finally, I like that these bread loaves are not HUGE! We are a family of 2 for half the week and a family of 3 for the other half. The local grocery store sells HUGE loaves of bread and we can never eat it up fast enough!
You can learn more about BFree Foods by visiting their site online. Right now their products are in limited states but they’re expanding quickly across the nation. Check out their website to find out which stores currently carry their products.

I like that there now are Gluten free breads that taste like regular bread. I would love to try both of these breads and I shall have to see where I can find BFree.
I never tried this before sounds good
like to give this a try looks good
Awe man…just checked the locator…not near me…hope they come soon. We’re on the East Coast and I see they have a lot of locations there. It would be amazing to have this available to us!
I wonder if Gluten-free would help my mom? She is 87, and always has upper and lower GI issues. This BFree liine sounds interesting. The trouble is my mom is very stubborn, and is automatically oppised to any of my suggestions. I’d have to sneak the gluten-free into her diet….not sure how ethical that is – but it can’t hurt, so I’m gojng for it!
