Chewy Double Chocolate Cookies Recipe

Double Chocolate CookiesMy children and grandchildren love when I make a big batch of homemade cookies. On top of that, they’re always asking me to bake cookies for their various school and church bake sales, for scout meetings and so forth. One of their most request cookies is this recipe which I’m sharing with all of you today. It will make 3 to 4 dozen, depending on size that you make them.

Chewy Double Chocolate Cookies

2 cups flour
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 cups butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 medium eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 2/3 cups white chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Stir together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt; set aside. In another bowl, beat together the softened butter and sugar with an electric mixer until fluffy. Add in the medium eggs and vanilla. Gradually beat in the flour mixture until everything is well combined. Hand stir in the white chocolate chips until combined.

Drop the batter by a big teaspoon onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven for 8-9 minutes or until done. Don’t over-bake them! Remove and let cool. Store in an airtight container.
