Giving a piece of jewelry a different look is a determining factor when it comes to shopping. Items look similar in most places and you will find yourself in need of something that looks slightly different from the norm; something to catch your eye! Wedding bands and jewelry made of tungsten will give off this desired effect.
After choosing the suit and tie you’ll wear for your wedding, you should select the right ring design to make your marriage vows with. The designs of tungsten rings include:
1. Grooved Wedding Bands
Grooves in a ring radiate a multi-layered look, giving the bride and groom the perfect look. Grooved tungsten wedding bands are a favorite for many couples because of the unique style.
A personalized look can be obtained when the ring is engraved with an intricate pattern of grooves. The patterns can match something you both love. You can also have simple horizontal grooves or dual/ single offset grooves. The grooves and a polished bevel give off a beautiful finish that will make you keep the ring on always.
2. Thin and Wide Bands
Many men wear standard-size wedding rings, but that doesn’t mean that you must wear the same. Choose a tungsten wedding band with your desired size. There are thin and wide wedding bands available in a color of your choice (black/ grey). The size of the ring doesn’t affect the finish that can be given to your ring.
The grooves, facets or inlays will still be included if you so desire. The slimmer rings are perfect for minimalists in terms of design while the wide ones are suitable for minimalists as well as all those who can go out of their way with design embellishments. You will also find extra wide wedding bands if you desire.
3. Faceted Rings
A multidimensional look is provided by a faceted wedding band. Such tungsten wedding bands are a step from the smooth and flat-surfaced rings that we are tired of. They show off the elegance of the bride and the groom through the unmatched beautiful look. Black or grey, you will never be disappointed.
Square, rectangular and diamond facets are common for the tungsten wedding bands. Perfectly polished bevels on the rings will definitely add glamour to your wedding.
4. Wood Grane Metal Rings
Commonly referred to as Mokume Gane; these rings incorporate the mirror pattern infamous with the Japanese sword. This is the ultimate wedding band for the Samurai-loving spouse. Tungsten metal is folded like paper to obtain this finish. They vary in color and design depending on your preferences. The wood ingrain makes them have a subtle royal look. It’s perfect for a lover of unique items too.
5. Ring Inlays
Instead of wearing a plain flat surfaced tungsten wedding band, why not have it designed with an inlay. The inlays vary to match your needs and include metal inlays (gold, palladium, titanium), wood inlays and camo inlays (camouflage). With these varieties, your wedding will be complete. The wedding day is traditionally considered the bride’s but you can also gain some attention by having unique wedding bands.
Gone are the days when the bridal gown was the focal point of all weddings. Let these elegantly designed tungsten wedding bands steal the show!

I wish I had known about these when my husband and I got married. I think he would really like one of these!
I think that tungsten for rings s a great trend. my favorite are the ones with inlays and then the grooved ones.
I love tungsten for rings! It is so hard, harder than gold (which scratches so easily). I had a brushed finished wedding band in 14K gold that was scratched after a month. You won’t find that problem with tungsten. It is much harder and won’t scratch. I’d love any kind of tungsten ring, especially a grooved one. Such a special look!
