Children’s Book: The Bunny Burrow Buyer’s Book
I have two grandchildren…a 6 1/2 year old grand daughter and a 5 month old little grandson. Every month we get together at least two times and hold play dates, reading dates or movie time together. These are family bonding times that I cherish with my grandchildren.
One of the types of things I love to review here on the blog are children’s books…all kinds of books! I love sitting down and looking through baby books, picture books and of course…reading books with the kids.
Recently I received a brand new children’s book to check out for all of you.

A single, black brushstroke that runs through the entire book provides a line that can be traced by little fingers from page to page, and anchoring the detailed pen-and-ink style that Steve uses to show the forest homes and the creatures who currently inhabit them–the visible above-ground part of each burrow appears above the line, and the underground portion shows below the line. In addition, circular die cuts in each page allow a peek into the next burrow.
As a grandmother, I really love the simplicity of this book! While my 6 1/2 year old grand daughter enjoys the book, I really think it’s geared towards smaller children. I love all of the gatefold pages which give children an easy way to interact with the book and the story line. The illustrations are charming to look at and the simple story is a very easy read for a younger child. I think it’s an adorable children’s hardcover book!
