Kohl’s is offering books from renowned author/illustrator Leo Lionni and soft toys priced at just $5.00 each, with 100 percent of net profit benefiting children’s health initiatives nationwide. The Kohl’s Cares collection is available at all Kohl’s stores nationwide and on Kohls.com now through early April.
As you all know…I’ve got 2 adorable grandchildren to love & spoil and we received 2 of the books and 2 of the plush toys to check out for all of you. Let me tell you upfront, these items are absolutely fantastic!
Book Title: A Color of His Own

Synopsis: In this charming color-concept story, a chameleon discovers that friendship is just as important as having a color of his own.
My Thoughts: This is a hardcover children’s book that is absolutely adorable! I love the story line and all of the illustrations are beautiful and brightly colored. One of the things I like about this particular book is that it features a lot of different animals and helps teach your child their colors. It’s a very easy-to-read book that is entertaining from start to finish.

Synopsis: In this timeless fable, three little frogs discover that sharing is more fun than selfishness.
My Thoughts: This is a hardcover children’s book that is just as adorable as the first book that we reviewed. This one features the story of 3 little frogs that learn all about being selfish and how it’s better to be a giver, than a taker. Just like the first book, the illustrations are beautiful and colorful and the story line is entertaining from start to finish.
Along with each of the two books that we received for this review we also got the matching plush animal to go along with it. These plush toys are super soft and are a nice size…the perfect size for your child to hug and love! I love that as a grandparent…I can get beautifully made and written books from Kohl’s and their Kohl’s Cares program and have the option of picking up the matching plush toys for $5.00 each. That’s right, $5.00 for each book and $5.00 for each plush toy! Wow, affordable gifts that any child would love!

I love that each of these books has a plush animal that matches the story. It is wonderful that Kohl’s is donating to children’s health organizations.
A Color of His Own is a wonderful book. My daughter always liked it for the fun story, good learning, and colorful photos. I hadn’t thought of it, but I bet my granddaughter would, too. I really like that Kohls does this program. They change their toys and books frequently, and I hadn’t realized this was the new one. Will have to stop by. It’s great that they offer books and plushes to go along with them.
I have bought books and stuffed toys from Kohl often and it is so good knowing that the profits go to a good cause plus they always have the cutes books and stuffed animals. Both of these are so darling.
