How many of you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? I’m not Irish but I do have a lot of fun wearing green on St. Patty’s Day! On top of that, we love to make some good old fashioned Irish food and/or enjoy a good cup of Irish Coffee every time St. Patrick’s Day rolls around. Do you dress up? Eat some good Irish food? If so, What do you enjoy?
I wanted to pass along a warm and delicious recipe for Irish Coffee, courtesy of KRUPS. The Irish had the right idea when they combined robust Irish whiskey with hot, black coffee. This hot cocktail has been a long time favorite in Irish pubs but on March 17th, this beverage seems to be a fan favorite around the country.
Irish Coffee Recipe
50 ml Espresso
1 tsp light brown sugar
20 ml whisky
20 ml single cream
In a saucepan, heat the whisky then incorporate the light brown sugar in order to dissolve it. Pour the mixture into a glass and pour the espresso on top. Lightly whisk the cream and arrange it carefully on top of the drink.

I am making this tomorrow for our family get together celebrating St. Paddy’s Day. Thanks for the awesome recipe.
Although I am not Irish I often enjoyed dressing in green for the holiday and I certainly would love to drink an Irish coffee. Thanks for the recipe.
Most of my ancestors were Irish, so it might be odd that I’m not much for booze, lol! But this might be a nice treat for St. Patrick’s Day.
I’m half Scottish, but love all Irish foods and beverages I’ve tried. I would love to try this Irish coffee, it sounds delish!
I’m of Irish descent and I wear green and cook corned beef & cabbage. Don’t like coffee so won’t be making this.

Perfect drink to start or end today….this is the day for it. Happy St. Patrick’s Day and Sláinte to you. Thanks for the recipe; I hadn’t thought of using brown sugar.
I have some Scottish and Irish in my heritage, on my mom’s side. I always wear my green eyes but wore green earring studs and a green top and hair ribbon too today. I bought a ton of greens at the store today too: kale, spinach, and cilantro. I also received some coffee beans in the mail today and would love to make some Irish coffee, but of course don’t have a bit of the strong stuff. Never had whiskey before but I like to watch others celebrate.
(Happy St. Patrick’s Day + Irish Coffee Recipe) Happy Si. Patty’s Day to you also. I would love one of these right now. Thanks for sharing it.
Irsh coffe is so wonderful, you can drink it the rest of the year too!
