I had never heard of these before I read your post. I went to their site and looked around and they really have some beautiful dresses. I love the bright colors and they all look so comfortable. Thanks for sharing this one and have a nice week.
The only Indian wear I knew about were saris. Have not seen these anarkali suits before.
Too fancy for me but pretty to look at. Seems like they would be very hot but I am a layer girl in a warm climate. I’m sure we’ll see some turn up on the red carpet soon.
Interesting and informative. I didn’t know what an Anarkali Suit was until I started reading about floor length, color, and bold patterns. I have seen them on TV and in photos, but the only time in person was at an Indian wedding. I can’t imagine just seeing them at everyday formal events, but it would add color. I’m interested in seeing how this trend takes. They are ornate and fun.
This is the first time I have heard of Anarkali Suits. They seem to fit any figure.
I have never even heard of an Anarkali Suit (and my parents lived in India for 10 years), never seen anyone wear one, never seen one in a magazine or TV show and have no idea why they are called suits, since they are dresses it seems.
Well, you learn something new every day. I’ve never heard of Anarkali Suits before, and without any photos in this post, I did an internet search to learn exactly what they are. And they’re lovely! Not what my Western mind knows as a “suit,” but certainly beautiful. Also not something I’m likely to see here in Downeast Maine, but now I know what to call those ornate Indian outfits.
