As someone who loves fruit and smoothies…I was intrigued by the “smoothie bowl” concept and definitely had to check out this cookbook for all of you.

If you’ve been following this blog for the past 4 years you will already know that I’m a cookbook collector. I’ve been collecting cookbooks for over 20 years and have over 500+ in my collection. Robert Rose is one of my favorite book publishers of all time! Their cookbooks are always affordable and beautifully presented and this book is no exception!

The photography in this book is mouth-watering and I absolutely LOVE the wide variety of recipes that were included in the collection. You’ll find recipes for breakfast smoothie bowls, anytime of the day smoothie bowls and one of my favorite sections are the “dessert” theme’d smoothie bowls which are right up this sweet girl’s alley.

Every recipe includes an ingredient list, full preparation directions, tips & hints for serving it, topping ideas and so much more! The beginning of the book includes a nice section to help you make the creamiest bowls and how to load them up with goodies, protein, crunch and other healthy goodies.

After going through a rather awful “health” ordeal last month, I’m trying to eat healthier and take better care of myself now. One of the recipes that I really enjoyed making last week was the author’s Healthy Trail Mix Recipe which you can make & toss into your smoothie bowls or make it and snack on it throughout the week all on it’s own. It was the first time that I’ve ever made my own trail mix and I was super surprised at how easy it was to do and how delicious it tasted. Next week my mom and I are going to attempt the author’s Peach & Pineapple Bowl Recipe and we are both excited about that!
