When I was 19 years old I was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease called Porphyria. It’s a blood disease that causes me all sorts of abdominal pain, limb pain and a whole host of other problems. One of the things that goes along with it…is sensitive skin, especially when it comes to dousing my skin with harmful chemicals or harsh fragrances.
A few weeks ago my doctor asked me to try some handmade goat milk soaps to see if those would work better for me than store bought soaps. I went on a search and found a wonderful company called The Bubblery Soap Company where all of their soaps are handmade from goat’s milk. All products are made in the good old U.S.A.
In addition to the goat’s milk soaps, they also sell hemp bath soap, sugar body scrubs, bath fizzies, body lotions, body frosting, glycerin soaps, mud bars, perfume oils and more!
For this review I was sent 4 bars of handmade goat’s milk soap to try out for all of you. Each bar comes individually wrapped and ready for gift-giving too. Here is what I received:
Creamy Lemon Creme Brulee
Ipanema Girl
Morning Jasmine
Thai Lemon Ginger
I first want to state that all four of these bars smell fantastic! I had a hard time deciding which fragrances to use first. I finally decided on two. For my morning showers I’ve been using the lovely Lemon Creme Brulee and for my evening bath I’ve been using the Ipanema Girl. The other two bars I’m saving for when I’m done with the first two.
The Creamy Lemon Creme Brulee is the perfect morning soap if you ask me! It’s rich and creamy, glides across the body. The fragrance is a light lemon scent and trust me, it really does smell like lemon creme brulee! It’s a very moisturizing bar and my skin feels fabulous after I’ve bathed with it.
The Ipanema Girl is perfect for any time of the day, but I really love using it during my evening bath when I go for a relaxing soak after a long day. It smells like a freshly baked batch of holiday cookies. Oh my gosh, it smells good enough to eat! I love how this one glides across the body and leaves silky, smooth skin behind that has been lightly scented.
As I stated above, I haven’t tried the last two just yet, but I’m sure they are just as fabulous as the first two. Since switching to these goat’s milk soaps my skin is definitely doing better. All of the dry patches are gone, my skin feels more moisturized and I’ve had no more skin irritation caused by bath products. I couldn’t be happier with these soaps! They are FANTASTIC!
Head on over to The Bubblery Soap Company and take a look around. You’ll be pleased with the variety of bath & body products that they sell and you’ll be equally as pleased with their affordable prices.
