Every week when it comes to the “almost” Wordless Wednesday post I try to mix it up with some family photos, travel photos, activities, etc. Today…I’m back with two new travel photos for you to enjoy.
Independence Hall in Philadelphia is where the United States Constitution and the Declaration of Independence were both written and adopted. The building itself is part of Independence National Historic Park and is located in downtown Philadelphia.
Independence Hall is a large red brick building that is done in the colonial style which was popular back in the mid 1700’s. The building itself was completed in 1753. Wow..I think it looks pretty darn good for it’s age! Most of the buildings in the downtown area are old ones and I love looking at them!
Both of the photos in this travel blog post were taken back in Fall of 2015. They’re not great photos but I still wanted to share them here on the blog for all of you to see. If you’ve never visited Philadelphia or Independence Hall…it’s really something you should add to your travel bucket list!
Philadelphia is rich in culture, history and family-friendly activities. The city is a lot like your other big metro cities and it never sleeps! There is always something fun going on in Philly…24 hours a day, 7 days a week…including holidays!
Have you ever visited Philly? Independence Hall? If so, tell me about your visit in the blog’s comment form below.
I only visited Philadelphia when I went to some performances. I would love to return and tour all the historical sites.
That place is so beautiful and inspiring. I haven’t been there ina long time, but I shall never forget it.
The only time I’ve been to Philadelphia is between flights at the airport, but it’s a city I’d love to visit–so much history there! Independence Hall is a beautiful building.
I would love to visit Philadelphia. I love learning about our nations history and I would love to visit this location. Thanks for sharing this picture I have never seen this building before. Have a nice day.
I’ve always wanted to see Philadelphia. I’d love to see the parts of the city that take you back to colonial days & the ‘Ben Franklin’ era, lol.
I’ve never visited Phili or the state, despite living next door in Ohio the first 18 years of my life, lol. We vacationed West and South mostly. I find that odd so I should make the effort to visit the Eastern U.S. soon.
I never have visited Philadelphia or Independence Hall. Maybe someday…
