4-Cheese Grilled Cheese Sandwich Recipe
I’ve been making grilled cheese sandwiches for the kids for over 40 years. When the kids were little, I just used 2 slices of white bread and slapped a piece of white American cheese in the center. Sauteed the sandwich until the cheese had melted and usually the kids enjoyed a bowl of tomato soup along with it.
Now that we are all adults, we look for different ways to make the classic grilled cheese. Sometimes I add various sliced meats to the sandwich or experiment with different types of cheeses. No matter how I make them, the kids still enjoy them.

Four Cheese Gourmet Grilled Cheese Recipe
1 tbsp (15 ml) melted butter
1 tbsp (15 ml) finely chopped fresh parsley leaves
1 tbsp (15 ml) finely grated
Parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic, minced
Pinch black pepper
4 slices fresh crusty bread, about 1 cm thick
4 slices medium Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup (50 ml) shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup (50 ml) shredded Gruyere cheese
Blend the butter with the parsley, Parmesan, garlic and pepper until well combined. Spread the butter mixture evenly over one side of each slice of bread. Put T-fal OptiCook Fry Pan on stove over medium heat until hot.
Place a slice of Cheddar, on the unbuttered side, of 2 slices of bread. Toss the mozzarella with the Gruyere and sprinkle over the Cheddar. Cap the sandwiches with the remaining bread, buttered-side-out. Place on T-fal OptiCook Fry Pan. Lower the heat to help the cheese melt.
Check to see if bread is brown after no more than a minute and a half, although more time may be needed for desired results. When bread is brown enough, flip.
Know that the second side should brown faster so be prepared to check it in no time. When it is cooked to your satisfaction, turn off the stove, put your sandwich on a plate, and enjoy.
