These 3 Things Will Help You Buy the Best Necklaces

February 2, 2016 by Carol

Some people complain that they hardly find the right necklaces every time they go shopping. They are forced to either wear those that they do not like or avoid them altogether. This, however, should not be the case because there are simple steps that you can take to ensure that you end up with the right products. You should focus on getting the following:

* Buying necklaces that are comfortable to wear
* Getting those that bring out the best of you
* Finding those that will last long

Let us face the facts, finding a necklace that has all the above characteristics is not an easy task. This, however, does not mean that you cannot get them. If others are always buying products that make them look stunning, there is no reason why you too should not succeed. Always consider the following factors.

The chains
The chain is a vital part of any necklace because it is what holds everything together. It is also what holds the whole necklace around your neck. Because of this, you need to make sure that it is the right size. Many women often think that every chain can fit every woman. The truth, however, is that there are different sizes to fit different women depending on their sizes. If you trust someone to buy it for you, you will have to ensure that you give them the right measurements. Do not estimate anything because it could make the whole item unattractive.

The pendant
Since this is the part that is most visible on your piece of jewelry, you will have to be extra-cautious with your selections. A pendant can be of any shape. The most common ones are round and oval although there are people who like square, pyramid and many other shapes. Your choice depends entirely on what makes you look good. It is good to know that a pendant can be customized in many ways. If you find a good supplier, they can easily hand-stamp a portrait or even a name on it making it to look more personal.

The other decorations
Your necklace is not just about the chain and the pendant. Even though those are the major parts, it will not look good if it does not have other decorations. Many people add gemstones especially on the chain and even around the pendant. Be sure to choose decorations that you are good looking in. You need to know that the decorations will determine how much you pay for that necklace. For instance, a person who chooses gold will definitely have to part with more than the others who choose materials that are less valuable.

If you are not sure about the options that are best for you, you might want to compare several necklaces just to see which one is best. You can take a few of your friends with you when shopping so that they too can give their opinion and help you to pick only the items that you should buy.

Between nursing and fitness, I just don’t wear jewelry like I used to. If I did buy a piece though, it would be quality and not cheap. Also my skin seems to be more sensitive as I’ve grown older, so I want something that won’t tarnish or bother me.

Those are good tips for people who like necklaces. I don’t like wearing them. Just earrings for me.

I have lots of necklaces over the years…. and some I wear a lot, some never and I feel bad. I detest the mall dainty chains. I have lost so many necklaces from having chains that were too dainty or flimsy. I have long hair and have had them tangle in my hair and break or break from a button or whatever and there goes the pendant too unless I am lucky enough to have it drop in my top.

You are right . you have to make sure the necklace is comfortable, looks good on you and will last for a long time. I usually compare several beforeI make my final decision.
