The Importance of Exfoliating Your Skin

January 30, 2016 by Shelly

Skin Care TipsA couple of weeks ago I published an article here on TwoClassyChics on How to Get Smoother and Softer Skin. You can re-visit that article to learn how to do that. In addition, I introduced you to two great skin care products that I’ve been using from a company called Laline.

Today, I’m back again and this time around I want to talk to you about how to exfoliate your skin. This is an important step in your skin care routine and helps all of your other products to work better! Why you might ask? Well, I’m going to tell you!

Dead skin cells accumulate on all surfaces of our skin. When you slap skin care products on top of the dead skin…those products have a hard time penetrating the skin and getting through. This means that you’re NOT reaping all of the benefits of that product! It’s important to exfoliate the dead skin off, so that your products will work better!

Cherry Blossom Body Scrub - Laline

One product that I’ve been using the past few weeks is called the Cherry Blossom Body Scrub by Laline. It’s the perfect combination of deep cleansing with natural minerals, and nourishing with avocado and grape seed oils. Plus, it’s Paraben free. It will slough off those dead skin cells and help to restore your body’s shine!

Directions for Use: Massage the product gently onto wet skin in a circular motion. Rinse thoroughly with water and then pat dry. Do not use the product on your face.

As I’ve stated, I’ve been using the Cherry Blossom Body Scrub for a few weeks now. I was having issues with very dry elbows, knees and the bottom of my feet were cracked! Ugh! I’ve been using this particular product twice a week for the first 2 weeks and now I’m using it once a week to maintain. The fragrance is incredible! It’s very light but what I like to call a mix of a light floral and a light fruity…perfectly balanced.

Cherry Blossom Body Scrub

The “salt” used in this body scrub is extremely fine in it’s texture. I hate when companies use coarse salts/sugars which do nothing but scratch up your skin. This formulation has a fine texture that glides across the body. Nothing scratchy or irritating at all. You massage it on and then rinse it off. Once your done with your application you’ll immediately see a difference (I did) with your skin’s appearance, texture and moisture level.

Since I’ve been using it, my dry patches are 90% gone. Yes, 90% gone! In addition, I noticed that my skin has a more even texture now and it looks more youthful. Finally, my body butter and other products that I apply to my skin are working at least 70% better than they were before because they can now penetrate the skin! Yay!

Head on over to Laline to learn more about this product and to see all of the fabulous skin care and body care products that they have to offer. I’m a huge fan of this company and I’m sure you’ll love their products too!

Ihave to admit that I do not exfoliate my skin very often. this product has ingredients I like and I would love the cherry blossom scent, so It would encourage me to exfoliate more often.

I can just smell the cherry in this. I like homemade scrubs but I’ve tried some purchased products that were just amazing and well worth the price. I also like to try the smaller sample sizes that travel well too.
