Movie Review – Fantastic Four

January 2, 2016 by Shelly

Fantastic 4 Movie DVDHow many of you are big fans of the Fantastic Four movie genre? Or, what about being big fans of any superhero flicks? I know that millions of fans are! My husband loves the superhero genre of movies and was patiently waiting for the release of this DVD. He finally got his hands on it back on December 15th, 2015 and was one happy camper about that!

The FANTASTIC FOUR make a triumphant return with MARVEL’s next generation of heroes — four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate universe, their physical forms altered in shocking ways. Their lives changed forever, Reed Richards (“MR. FANTASTIC”), Sue Storm (“INVISIBLE WOMAN”), Johnny Storm (“THE HUMAN TORCH”) and Ben Grimm (“THE THING”) must harness their incredible new powers and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy, the infamous DR. DOOM.

The blu-ray dvd includes a few special features and my husband loves when dvd’s include that. The movie is rated PG-13 so it’s a great one for family movie night if you have older children.

As I previously stated, hubby is a HUGE fan of superhero movies and he said this one ranks up there in his top 5 for this genre. He said the story line was enthralling and kept him entertained from start to finish. He said the action scenes were fantastic and have really showed off how far movie technology has come. On the acting scale…he would rate the movie an 8 out of 10 for that…he thought the acting could of been a tad better, but overall they did a good job.

Now that the holidays are officially over and I’ll have some R&R time, I’m looking forward to sitting down and watching this movie myself.

Here are three free Fantastic Four movie printables for the kids. Go ahead, print them out and keep them on hand for movie night or for when the kids get bored this winter.

I remember reading Fantastic Four comic books when I was a kid, so I think it will be kind of a kick to watch this movie. I’m sure the special effects are a big part of it, and nowadays, that’s half the fun of modern movies. Thanks for the review–tell your husband I appreciate it 😉

I like superhero movies because I like to get out of the world we live in for a while…and i like the special effects too. It’s a short vacation from the news of terrorists and war and general crime….it’s nice to imagine that a superhero could solve a lot of those problems….

I have to disagree with your hubs. I thought this was possibly the worst movie of 2015. I took my 9yo to see it in the movies & then let him rent it. I wanted to claw my eyes out. So boring.

I’m almost ashamed to admit that it’s ME that really wants to see this! Not the kids in my life! But I guess if your husband can admit it, so can I. I love the alternate universe concept in just about anything, and this is super. What would I be in MY alternate universe, I wonder? Almost afraid to guess. Thanks the great review, gonna get this one!
