January is National Hot Tea Month and I recently was introduced to a delicious, organic brand of tea called Davidson’s Tea. I’m excited to tell you about it today and to give you some ideas on how to enjoy and incorporate tea into your life. Davidson’s Tea is a “direct from garden” source for organic and fair trade teas, herbs, spices, cocoa and gifts. This company has been around for 38 years and even with changes to the tea market and their own product line over the years, what has remained constant is the company’s respect for nature, dedication to high quality infusions, and their passion for innovation.
Davidson’s Tea offers a wide variety of organic teas and every tea, spice and herb used in their blends comes from small tea producers or small disenfranchised farmers throughout the world. With such an extensive selection of teas, it’s easy to find a tea to fit every type of taste. I received four different types of tea and it is truly some of the best tea I’ve had. I love black tea as it’s caffeinated, but it’s hard to find black teas that have fruit flavors. Most of the fruity teas I’ve come across are usually decaf. So, I was thrilled to try out these teas for sure and Davidson’s Tea offers a HUGE selection of tea, so it’s so fun to peruse the web site.
I received the following Davidson’s classic black teas for review:
Cherry Vanilla– this tea is a smooth full-bodied blend of organic black tea, organic herbs and rich vanilla flavor. It is creamy and is the perfect blend to enjoy with milk and a little sweetener.
Apricot Essence – this tea combines a light and flavorful organic Indian black tea with lemony Australian Lemon Myrtle and a very true natural apricot essence. The tea is a little tart, but balances nicely when you add some milk to it.
Vanilla Essence – this tea is a light and lively organic black tea. It’s even more enjoyable with a splash of milk and a little sweetener, like a chai. Of course Vanilla Essence tastes wonderfully delicious hot, but also makes a great iced latte, over ice.
Spiced Raspberry – this one was my favorite for sure. The blend of raspberries in a robust organic black tea with a hint of cinnamon and cloves is ideal for afternoon tea. This is one of the company’s most popular blends.

Top 3 ways to enjoy National Hot Tea Month
1. Teatime, Me time – it is important to take some time out for yourself and decompress from the stresses of daily life. I personally like to have “teatime, me time” at night after a nice, warm bubble bath. I like to put on my comfy jammies and read a book and drink tea. This is a perfect time for a hot cup of decaffeinated tea.
2. Ladies afternoon tea circle – gather up some of your girlfriends and have everyone bring different desserts. Get the tea kettle on the stove and create a little tea station for everyone to make their own tea to enjoy with their sweets.
3. Craft “tea” – I love to look at Pinterest and pin crafts onto a board I call “Getting Crafty.” Now, actually finding the time is tough, but what a great stress reliever it is to get some craft supplies, heat up some tea and let the magic happen. You can even hand paint and bling out some mugs and give them as birthday gifts for friends of family. Of course, don’t forget to include some Davidson tea for them to enjoy with their new mugs.
