Simple Mills Gluten Free Baking Mixes for the Holidays

How many of you have issues with gluten and look for gluten-free products? For me personally, I have no issues with it but my mother does. She spends a lot of time with us (several days a week) so I always keep gluten-free food products on hand.

Recently we were introduced to a company that we had never heard of until this review. The company is called Simple Mills and they make a line of gluten-free baking mixes. For this review we received a package of their pancake & waffle mix and a package of their chocolate muffin & cake mix.

The Simple Mills Gluten-Free Pancake & Waffle Mix is made from almond flour. Each serving contains only 4g sugar and 6g of protein. When making either waffles or pancakes…you’ll only need to add the eggs, milk and oil. You mix up your batter and then you’re ready to go. We decided to mix up a batch of pancakes which my mother thoroughly enjoyed!

The Simple Mills Gluten-Free Chocolate Muffin & Cake Mix is made from almond flour. Each serving contains only 7g of sugar and 5g of protein. This mix can be used to make either the chocolate muffins, chocolate cupcakes or a chocolate cake. You’ll need to add your own eggs, water, oil and vanilla extract. The box gives you specific directions for making one of three items. We chose to make the chocolate muffins and they were delicious! They were moist and full of flavor!
