How many of you have ever sat down and wondered about all of the products in the world that utilize ink in one way or another? Not only that, 50 years or so ago…you could only find ink in a handful of different colors. Nowadays though, you can find it in thousands of different colors which suits me just fine since I’m a crafter and user it often in my various craft projects.
Most of us use ink every day, whether it’s in the pens we write with, the cartridges that go into our printers, or even the ink used in tattoos. But, how much do we really know about ink? Well, this fun infographic is going to give you some of The Craziest Facts About Ink!

Wow…lot’s of informative information there! I never realized at least half of those things and I pretty happy to see that 25% of American commercial printers are now using soy-based inks. I hope to see that number grow for sure!

There is a lot of information here. I never would have guessed that termites follow ink for that reason. I wonder if more Newspapers use that soy based ink in printing.
Wow. There’s a lot of interesting stuff there. The weirdest of all is that they used blood from the members of Kiss in the ink for the comic.
I thought it was interesting that in pathology, India ink is used in surgical biopsies to aid in studying specimens. I can see how that would work.
23 % of people regret getting a tattoo. I don’t have to regret it since I’ve never even wanted one.
The termite thing I found really interesting. I wonder if it is one color above another or alll colors? This would be interesting to see if it works. I know where a termite nest is, and nexxt sping I aam going to see if they ar drawn to it.
I liked the whole inforgraphic. I enjoy reading some of these and its amazing how many do the blood ink thing.

When Marvel comics Mark Gruenwald died, some of his ashes were mixed with ink to print a 100 page comic book 5000 copy run if Squadron Supreme. I find that extremely strange lol
