A few months ago I received the Epson LW-300 Label Printer and the Epson LabelWorks Iron-on Kit to review and you can check out my original review HERE to read about all of the cool features this portable ribbon and label printer has.
To refresh your memory…this label printer features:
* Choose from 14 font types and 10 font styles
* Built-in memory stores up to 30 label design files

* Works with tapes from 6mm to 12mm wide
* Works with iron-on tape, sticky labels & printable ribbons
* Automatically prints with a split back for easy & fast peeling
This time around I was sent a few packages of the Epson LabelWorks Printable Ribbon so that I could get crafty over the holidays.
While you are designing your ribbons you can easily change the design without starting over at the beginning which is super cool as I had a hard time deciding on exactly what I wanted the first time around. Once you have your design done, you simply print your ribbon by pressing the green printer button and wait for the ribbon to finish printing & then cut the ribbon by pressing the green button the side of the unit. Easy Peasy!
I decided to make some custom printed ribbons to use on my Christmas gift boxes and gift bags. I had always wanted to make beautiful holiday packages but never had the time or the know-how to do it…until now. The Epson LabelWorks Printer makes it super easy to give all of your holiday packages a customized & personal look!
For example…I purchased a gorgeous pearl necklace for my daughter for Christmas. I left it in it’s original jewelry gift box. I then used the Epson LabelWorks Printer to print out a holiday message and my daughter’s first name on some beautiful beige satin ribbon. It’s a pretty champagne color if you ask me!
I typed in the message that I wanted “Merry Christmas Jenelle” and used the printer’s symbol feature to print snowflakes between the wording. There are several holiday symbols to choose from! Within a minute…I had a gorgeous personalized satin ribbon to adorn her package! You can use the ribbons to just decorate the packages or print them out and turn them into bows!
Another holiday project that I’m currently working on is printing out special ribbons for the kid’s Christmas tree ornaments. Every year I buy each of my grandchildren a new holiday ornament and this year I’m printing out ribbons with their name and date on the ribbon and using those ribbons to hang their ornaments on their Christmas tree! What a great way to add a personalized touch to their holiday keepsake ornaments!

The Epson LW-300 Printer is really an Awesome Machine!! The price is so affordable too! Your ideas for making Special ribbon for Christmas gifts and for hanging Special ornaments are awesome. Heather, I’ve had my Epson LabelWorks printer for a few months now and I use it for all kinds of different things. I never thought I would use it this much but now that I have it…I use it all of the time!
